Qaouq: Hezbollah contributing to ongoing efforts to form govt.
A senior Hezbollah official on Thursday confirmed that his party is pushing for the formation of a new government.
There is “a need to form a fully functional government that would work to alleviate people’s suffering,” Hezbollah central council member Sheikh Nabil Qaouq said.
“Hezbollah is backing the exerted efforts to form the government and is contributing to securing their success,” Qaouq added.

It would be newsworthy if Nabil Qaouq spoke in favor of a government that reflect the will of all Lebanese of all walks of life and the needs of the moment. Instead, given past performances, citizens understand he meant that Hezbollah is working to increase the Persian, Syrian and Shia influence in Lebanon's government by stonewalling Mitaki's and reformists' ability to implement reforms.
"Resistance" is a lie and no basis for a government.
