Aoun: We're looking forward to the coming days with a lot of optimism

President Joseph Aoun said Wednesday that “the difficult circumstances that Lebanon went through have become behind us.”

“We’re looking forward to the coming days with a lot of optimism,” Aoun added, during a meeting in Baabda with the head of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Badr Mohammed Al-Saad.

“We are determined to rebuild the state according to new foundations, most notably economic and financial reforms, relying in all of this on good governance and providing the necessary facilitation for financial funds to finance projects,” the president said.

The head of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development for his part said that the purpose of his visit is to “reactivate development work financed by the Fund after a hiatus that lasted for years.”

“The Fund is committed to implementing the loans granted to Lebanon,” he added.
