Salam says 'no turning back' in plans to monopolize arms
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has said that Lebanon “has managed to pave the way for a promising new start, despite all the difficulties that the project of rebuilding confidence and the course of reform are facing.”
“There will be no turning back in the project of consolidating the monopoly of arms in the hands of the Lebanese state alone, which should be in charge of the war and peace decisions and of defending its land and sons -- all its sons -- with the means allowed by international laws and norms,” Salam added, in an interview with the Saudi Asharq al-Awsat newspaper.
“The entire Lebanese state is seeking full Israeli withdrawal from its land and to prevent all forms of violations. The government is also working on rallying efforts to launch the reconstruction process,” Salam went on to say.

SUPREME INJUSTICE OF JUSTICE SALAM. He sided with a criminal organization instead of their million victims. Expected Salam to seek justice, put Hizb leaders in prison & dissolve this criminal militia created, funded, armed & indoctrinated by Iran radicals. Hizb like Houthis is an Iranian foreign brigade. Hizb destroyed a nation, sucked its life blood, assassinated its best leaders, and imposed a foreign doctrine making Shia stranger to their own culture and values. Where is justice when Hizb still buying arms while many children can’t afford food or medicine? Where is justice when Salam ignores Hizb destruction of our economy, banking, education and justice systems. What about Hizb illegal crossings, tax evasion, money laundering, Captagon trade, drug networks, etc. Lebanon economy was $60 billion and should be today $200 instead of less than $20 billion. Salam is setting the culprit free even after being exposed and weakened. No greater injustice. Our new nightmare!
