Report: Gulf urges Hezbollah to join state project, Doha vows pressure on Israel

The Gulf countries agree on the need for Hezbollah to “join the state’s project” and to “draw lessons from the regional developments,” a media report said.

“This obliges its leadership to show positivity as to the plans of handing over illegal weapons to the army and security forces, seeing as no arms should exist on Lebanese soil other than those of the Lebanese Army,” al-Liwaa newspaper reported.

“Visitors of the Qatari capital reveal that Doha has promised Beirut to exert pressures on the U.S. administration in order to press Israel to fully withdraw from Lebanese territory, in parallel with similar efforts to wrap up the Israeli war on Gaza and finalize the hostages file,” the daily added.
