A State Dept. statement said Aoun and Rubio discussed "the implementation of the Trilateral Framework" that also involves Israel, with the Secretary commending "the courage of the Government of Lebanon, under President Aoun's leadership, for their determined effort to reclaim Lebanon’s sovereignty, disarm Hezbollah and dismantle its terrorist infrastructure, and move towards peace."

Rubio also reaffirmed the commitment of the United States to "supporting the successful implementation of the Trilateral Framework and to backing the Government of Lebanon’s efforts to deliver peace, economic recovery, and a better future for the Lebanese people."

Joseph Aoun is willing to do anything to save Lebanon and get it out of the messes that Hezbollah dragged it into.
Hezbollah is willing to do anything to save Iran and it will even sacrifice Lebanon, its people, its history and its territory for the sake of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.

With the backing of the U.S. and the hope of an agreement with Israel, President Aoun is on the right path to lead the Republic of Lebanon into a bright, peaceful and healthy future.

Rubio said, "Racism has a bad name, but that's because it was never given a chance. If we could just get rid of all the bad people, racism would flourish."
