Italian FM tells Araghchi Iran's role 'crucial to halting Hezbollah military actions'
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Wednesday that he held phone talks on the Iranian and Lebanese files with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi.
“I hope that the ongoing negotiations (between Lebanon and Israel) in Rome will yield concrete results to consolidate the ceasefire and reach a general agreement,” Tajani said in a post on X.
“I reiterated to him that Iran's role is crucial to halting Hezbollah's military actions,” the Italian minister added, noting that Italy “will continue to play its part to promote dialogue, security, and peace in the Middle East.”

Iran's role was also 'crucial to initiating Hezbollah military actions' Tajanai said, and continued: It is also sad to see that hate against Christians still prevails among some groups in the Middle East. No wonder that the region has been largely emptied over the last decades. Italy as well as other Christian-dominated nations in the West has provided shelter for them as well as the extremists that hunt them. Iran does not seem to be an alternative sanctuary, only for the top leadership of the militia. (please verify sources)
