One Killed as Army Intercepts Car Loaded with Weapons in al-Qaa

A gunman was killed and a soldier wounded when the army intercepted a car loaded with weapons on Thursday, announced the Army Command in a statement on Friday.

It said that a shootout, which took place at the border region of al-Qaa, erupted when a car failed to halt at an army checkpoint.

The army then fired at one of the car’s wheels, prompting one of the passengers to open fire at the soldier.

A gunman was killed, a soldier was wounded, and a nearby military vehicle was damaged in the shootout, added the statement.

A second gunman was arrested.

The car was loaded with large amounts of weapons and explosives.

The military police have since launched an investigation into the incident.

how chatrin they are at intercepting cars with wepons, but it is always one way! never did they intercept arms coming from syria... strange double standards.. M8 of course!

you got it the other way around: it's legal in 5 out of 195 countries. I still see those omega signs with 1551 next to it on the streets

Without taking any side, I'd like to get your thoughts in this, obviously each FPM follower has his own interpretation/explanation. No offense
