Thieves stole gold necklaces and diamonds worth around 200,000 dollars (160,000 euros) from Guns N'Roses frontman Axl Rose as the singer gave a private concert in Paris, a police source said Wednesday.

The theft late Tuesday enraged the 50-year-old singer from the U.S. super group and police were called in to calm the situation, the source said.

Rose held his private gig, attended by around 100 people, after a public performance at Bercy stadium.

The singer is the only remaining member of the original line-up of the rock band that was formed in Los Angeles in 1985 and whose best known songs include "November Rain", "Patience", and "Sweet Child o' Mine".

Ah, unfortunately cedarprop, that could very well be Axl, as he looks like that these days. Gone are the days of cool Axl circa the world tour with Metallica. Gone even are the braids of 2008. Axl is pure douche nowadays, alas...
