Former minister Michel Samaha was admitted to hospital on Tuesday for medical tests, reported al-Jadeed television.

He was returned to his detention center after the completion of the tests, it added.

Samaha was arrested on August 9 on charges of forming a criminal gang aimed at carrying out attacks in Lebanon at Syria's behest.

Media leaks of the investigation revealed that the former minister had confessed to transporting explosives from Syria to Lebanon in order to carry out the attacks.

Along with Samaha, the judiciary also charged Syrian security chief Ali al-Mamlouk and a Syrian general known as Adnan in the case.

They might try to kill him in the hospital to let the case collapse. Samaha has three roads ahead: Life in prison, the gallows, or death from the Syrian mafia gov't. This is what happens when you make friends with the devil.
