Judicial Sources: Saqr Hasn't yet Sent Audiotapes to Prosecutor's Office

The General Prosecution hasn't been handed copies of recordings that al-Mustaqbal bloc MP Oqab Saqr claimed he sent to Judge Hatem Madi's office, high-ranking judicial sources said Friday.
The sources told An Nahar daily that General Prosecutor Madi hasn't received the three-part series of the recordings in which the lawmaker allegedly discussed arrangements with a Syrian rebel to ship arms supplies to the opposition.
But the sources said they will be analyzed to take the appropriate legal measure.
Saqr denied the accusations during a press conference he held in Istanbul on Thursday, saying the audiotapes that were broadcast and printed by OTV and al-Akhbar newspaper, both close to the Hizbullah-led March 8 majority coalition, were doctored.
He instead played what he said were the original audiotapes.
Mockingly, he told reporters: “We distribute milk for Syria's children,” and not arms as the media outlets have claimed.
In their remarks to An Nahar, the judicial sources expected some developments after Madi tasked the Central Criminal Investigations Bureau to ask for the recordings and examine them.
Saqr challenged the judiciary and his foes to take them to any laboratory in the world to verify their authenticity.

Saqr was at first proud of his role that the tapes revealed. He relished in his role against the Assad regime ... now we find out it was not the arms he describes on the tape, he says it was blankets and milk ... LOL
The Judiciary couldn't make this farce up. Only a complete idiot or a man fearing for his life would try to pull this about-face. Hariri says he is pleased with Saqr's explanation ... for how long?

saqr has played them nicely and they fell into the trap showing all how much they are executing bashar's orders, and what kind of traitors to Lebanon they are.

well you must be out of your mind because already clear dissent is happening among shias: the families of the shias abducted in Syria have asked akhbar and otv to shut up accusing them to create fictupus issues to prevent their loved ones from being freed.
they ask these liars to get out of the way and off saqr's back....

What is the fuss about Sakr helping with providing arms to the Free Syrian Army. So what if he does. And he should do so to help elimitate the Rotten Regime in Syria. If that happens then the Rotten HizboArms/Iran will also be weakened. THe hope is to stop the Terrorist Hizbollah and all of their supporters from Murdering and instilling Terrorism on the rest of the Lebanese people. What has been established beyond doubt? Well, first, that Saqr did discuss a weapons transfer of some kind – even if there is no evidence that he carried out that transfer. Second, that OTV and Al Akhbar have been caught doctoring the evidence and knowingly publishing false information (e.g. that Louay al-Miqdad was Saad Hariri) – even if it seems probable that Saqr, too, tampered with the tapes!!
