Saudi King Abdullah expressed hope that Lebanon would witness stability and prosperity, calling on the Lebanese to preserve their country and maintain coexistence in it.

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awadh Asiri conveyed the King's message in a dinner banquet held at his residence in Yarze on Friday eve for current and former premiers.

“The meeting was an occasion to remember the efforts undertaken by Saudi Arabia to fortify ties with a free and independent Lebanon,” the statement stated.

The statement pointed out that the “Sunnis are a key component of the country.”

“We are confident that the unity of the Lebanese will help them surpass all the difficulties,” it said.

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miqati, PM-designate Tammam Salam and former premiers Salim al-Hoss, Omar Karami and Fouad al-Saniora attended the banquet.

However, ex-PMs Rashid al-Solh, who is ill, and ex-PM Saad Hariri, who is abroad, didn't attend.

Caretaker Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami was also present.

Hopefully this is to announce the $500 million the KSA will give to Lebanon for the refugees of the humanitarian crisis they funded in Syria.

The photographer who was present there later died in the emergency after suffering a stroke caused by the strong stench that was emanating from all those who were present there except the two Karamis. I am told he had been warned, though, but he disregarded all warnings. May he rest in peace.

All patriotic and Lebanese-minded (Lebanon first mentality) of all sects are key components and essential components for a healthy and progressive Lebanese State. Similarly, all extremists form all sects with foreign agendas that promotes violence, civil unrest, and undermining of the State are traitors that need to be deported to the country they have loyalty to.

You are right about the "kings" who were installed for the sake of oil and other selfish western reasons. The rest of your comment is pure habal as if it's coming from a mentally ill person.
