The prosecution in the case of six people on trial in France over the publication of topless photographs of Prince William's wife Kate called Tuesday for "very significant fines".

"Alien" creator Ridley Scott says he's  convinced that there are aliens out there -- and one day they could come for us.

Jonathan Demme, the Oscar-winning director of "The Silence of the Lambs" who also led Tom Hanks to an Oscar in "Philadelphia," died Wednesday in New York, his publicist said. He was 73.

Born on Long Island in New York, Demme won an Academy Award in 1992 as best director of the thriller "The Silence of the Lambs" starring Anthony Hopkins and Jodi Foster. 

Disney announced Tuesday it had set the date of May 24, 2019 for Colin Trevorrow's "Star Wars: Episode IX" and is delaying the next "Indiana Jones" a full year.
