Arab Israeli Gets 25 Years for Tel Aviv Bus Bomb

A Tel Aviv court on Monday handed an Arab Israeli a 25-year prison term over the 2012 bombing of a bus during a major Israeli campaign in Gaza.

Mohammed Mafarja, 19, was sentenced three months after being convicted on charges of aiding the enemy during war, attempted murder, causing an explosion and wounding 24 people.

Qassam Brigades Unveil Rocket Statue in Gaza City

Hamas unveiled a rocket-shaped statue Monday showcasing its capacity to strike arch-enemy Israel, as the Jewish state boasted its own haul of captured weapons it claims were bound for Gaza.

"Hamas managed to take the battle to the heart of the Zionist entity (Israel) after developing its rocket system, succeeding where many Arab armies had failed," said a leader of Hamas armed wing the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, flanked by masked fighters at the statue's unveiling.

Israel to Show Long-range Rockets from 'Iran Arms Ship'

Israel will on Monday display weaponry from an intercepted ship it says was destined for Gaza in a bid to expose the "true face of Iran" which allegedly dispatched it.

The military says it found 40 long-range M-302 rockets aboard the Panamanian-flagged Klos-C it intercepted in the Red Sea last week, as well as 181 122mm mortar shells and approximately 400,000 7.62-caliber rounds.

Israel Troops Kill Palestinian Jordanian Judge in Border Incident

Israeli troops on Monday shot dead a Palestinian Jordanian who allegedly tried to snatch a soldier's weapon at the main Jordan border crossing, with Amman saying the man was a judge.

The shooting, which was sharply condemned by the Palestinian Authority, took place at the Allenby Bridge crossing between the West Bank and Jordan.

Arab FMs: Lebanon Has Right to Resist Israeli Aggression, Occupation

The council of Arab foreign ministers decided Sunday during a meeting in Cairo to support the Lebanese government materially and financially to help it cope with the Syrian refugee crisis.

The council also agreed to ask the member states to share the burden, stressing that the refugees' presence in Lebanon is “temporary” and that efforts would be exerted to return them to their country as soon as possible.

Israel Says 40 160-Km-Range Rockets aboard 'Iran Arms Ship'

The Israeli military said on Sunday it had found 40 rockets with a range of 160 kilometers (100 miles) aboard a ship allegedly transporting arms from Iran to the Gaza Strip.

The army said it seized the Panamanian-flagged Klos-C on Wednesday and escorted it to the Red Sea port of Eilat where it was inspected on Sunday and unloaded in an operation dubbed "Full Disclosure."

Bulgaria has identified a Lebanese man as the bomber who blew up an airport bus in 2012, killing five Israeli tourists, their Bulgarian driver and himself, local media said Sunday.

Israeli Army Unloads 'Iran Weapons Ship'

The Israeli army was on Sunday unloading a ship which it intercepted in the Red Sea allegedly transporting arms from Iran to Gaza and escorted to the port of Eilat.

An AFP correspondent said dozens of containers from the Panamanian-flagged Klos-C were being unloaded and transferred on trucks to a nearby navy base.

Israeli Teens Say Won't Join Army because of Occupation

A group of Israeli teenagers have informed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu they will refuse to serve in the military because of its role in the occupation of Palestinian land.

"The main reason for our refusal is our opposition to the occupation of the Palestinian territories by the army," 50 youths wrote in a letter to Netanyahu published Saturday by an Israeli pacifist group.
