An Israeli group on Thursday called for the arrest and trial of hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists who are expected to arrive at Ben Gurion airport as part of a solidarity campaign this weekend.
Between Saturday evening and Sunday, hundreds of activists, mainly from European countries, are expected to land at Israel's main international airport as part of a campaign called "Welcome to Palestine."

Israel will attack Lebanese government targets during a future war with Hizbullah, a senior defense official said, lamenting that the Jewish State did not do so during the 2006 aggression on Lebanon.
“It was a mistake not to attack Lebanese government targets during the war in 2006,” The Jerusalem Post quoted a senior defense official as saying. “We will not be able to hold back from doing so in a future war.”

The Israeli navy has recently strengthened its “indirect cooperation” with the Lebanese navy in the Mediterranean ahead of possible pro-Palestinian flotillas to Gaza on Nakba Day, Haaretz daily reported.
The Lebanese army increased its naval operations and barred any ship from approaching the maritime border with Israel, to prevent any possible provocations on Land Day on March 30, Haaretz said.

Speaker Nabih Berri stressed on Wednesday that it is Lebanon’s “sovereign right” to explore its oil wealth.
He stated before reporters: “Lebanon has the right to acquire its oil wealth through the resistance should diplomacy fail.”

State commissioner to the military court Judge Saqr Saqr charged on Monday four people with smuggling arms to Syria, the National News Agency reported.
The four charged include a Syrian national, according to NNA.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet his Palestinian counterpart Salam Fayyad in Jerusalem next week, a spokesman from the Israeli leader's office told Agence France Presse.
A Palestinian official had on Tuesday said the two men would meet on April 17, and on Wednesday, Netanyahu's spokesman Ofir Gendelman confirmed the date.

The Palestinians have sent a letter to the United Nations Security Council seeking condemnation of Israeli settlement activity, the Palestinian foreign minister said on Tuesday.
Riyad al-Malki said the Palestinian envoy to the U.N., Riyad Mansour, had submitted letters to the council and U.N. Secretary Ban Ki-Moon on Monday, ahead of a meeting of the peacemaking Quartet in Washington on Wednesday.

Iran's intelligence ministry said it has broken an Israeli-linked "terror and sabotage" network which had its headquarters in an unspecified nearby country, media reports said on Tuesday.
"One of the Zionist regime's biggest terror and sabotage networks and some of its agents have been identified. A group of criminal terrorists and mercenaries cooperating with them has been arrested," the ministry said in a statement picked up by the Iranian outlets.

Israeli security forces said on Tuesday they had begun preparations for a "fly-in" of hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists expected to arrive at Ben Gurion airport this weekend.
"We have made arrangements and are prepared for this operation, which is expected to begin from Sunday," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told Agence France Presse, without giving further details.

Israeli officials are concerned about reports that Hizbullah is putting its hands on Syrian arms, though it is still unclear whether the Lebanese party has gotten hold of chemical weapons, Israeli daily Haaretz reported on Tuesday.
The newspaper quoted Israeli officials as saying that it remains unclear how far Washington will go to help bring about the downfall of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
