A hospital director in Lebanon has denied accusations by the Israeli army that Hezbollah is storing money and gold under the hospital.

Fadi Alameh, a member of parliament who is also the director of Sahel General Hospital, denied there are tunnels under the hospital and said that the medical center south of Beirut is now being evacuated.

Child among 6 killed in Israeli strike on Baalbek

An Israeli strike on the main eastern city of Baalbek killed six people including a child Monday, with state media reporting it hit a building in a densely-packed residential area.

"The Israeli enemy strike... in Baalbek killed six people, including a child," the Lebanese health ministry said, and the state-run National News Agency reported that all six were from the same family.

French President Emmanuel Macron called once again for a cease-fire in Gaza and Lebanon in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, the Elysee Palace said in a statement.

Hochstein holds 'very constructive' talks with Berri, says 1701 needs new mechanism

U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein said Monday that he held a "very constructive" meeting with Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh and that the U.S. is working with Lebanon and Israel on a "formula that brings an end to this conflict once and for all."

Hochstein added that U.N. resolution 1701 is “no longer enough” and that a new mechanism must be put in place to ensure it is implemented “fairly, accurately, transparently.”

Germany demands Israel probe all incidents involving UN in Lebanon

Germany on Monday demanded Israel "clarify every incident" involving the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon and urged it to investigate the destruction of a UNIFIL observation tower.

Hezbollah targets troops on border villages as Israeli army blows up houses

Hezbollah said it repeatedly targeted Israeli troops in south Lebanon border villages over several hours on Monday, saying at least one of the attacks caused "certain casualties".

Hezbollah fighters targeted "a gathering of Israeli enemy soldiers on the eastern outskirts of the village of Markaba" with three separate rocket salvos, it said, adding one of the attacks caused "certain casualties" and that its fighters also targeted Israeli troops attempting "to evacuate the dead and wounded".
