Syrian Opposition Condemns Rebel Execution of Captives

The opposition Syrian National Coalition on Sunday condemned the reported "collective execution" by rebels of soldier prisoners in the north and said it had created a commission of inquiry.

At least 15 people were injured in the Egyptian city of Port Said overnight in clashes involving supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi, state news agency MENA reported.

Witnesses and MENA said Morsi supporters had opened fire during the funeral of a fellow loyalist, but the ousted president's Muslim Brotherhood group denied the claims.

'U.S. Drone' Kills Six Qaida Suspects in Yemen

An apparent U.S. drone strike killed six suspected Al-Qaida militants overnight, a Yemeni military source told AFP on Sunday.

The six suspects were traveling in a two-vehicle convoy in Mahfad in the southern province of Abyan, much of which was held by the jihadists before an army counter-offensive last year, the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

At least 72 people were killed during clashes in Cairo on Saturday, Egypt's Health Ministry said, after violence erupted at a demonstration in support of ousted President Mohammed Morsi.

Israel to Free 104 Palestinians in Peace Talks
