Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun accused the Mustaqbal Movement and its allies of “oppressing” Christian factions in Lebanon through their practices over the parliamentary electoral law.
He said after the Change and Reform bloc's weekly meeting: “Its allies, the Lebanese Forces and Phalange Party, are unjustly treating other Christian powers in Lebanon.”

A Progressive Socialist Party delegation held talks on Wednesday with Hizbullah deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem as part of an initiative to achieve a breakthrough in the lingering political crisis in the country.
“We agreed on the importance of the resumption of dialogue among the political powers to reach common grounds,” Transportation and Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi told reporters.

The fate of a new round of national dialogue was unclear on Tuesday, two days ahead of the all-party talks set to be held at Baabda palace, over the insistence of the March 14 opposition officials to boycott the meeting.
An Nahar newspaper quoted presidential sources as saying that President Michel Suleiman hasn't yet taken the decision to postpone the dialogue but could announce the postponement on Wednesday when the March 14 alliance members make a clear announcement on their decision.

Progressive Socialist Party chief Walid Jumblat called on Monday for the resumption of national dialogue among the country's bickering leaders while stressing a review of a clause in the government policy statement that stresses the right of the “people, army and resistance to liberate” Lebanese territories.
Hizbullah's “arms are a major point of contention,” Jumblat said at a press conference he held in Mukhtara to announce an initiative that would bring back the March 8 majority and March 14 opposition alliances to the dialogue table.

A delegation from MP Walid Jumblat's Progressive Socialist Party held talks on Sunday with Prime Minister Najib Miqati as part of the lawmaker's ongoing efforts to reach an initiative to end Lebanon's current political crisis.
During the talks, Miqati "voiced support for the dialogue initiative that will be announced by PSP leader Walid Jumblat and the ideas it will include," said a statement issued by the PM's office.

Officials loyal to Progressive Socialist Party chief Walid Jumblat visited Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh on Saturday as part of the initiative aimed at resolving the country's political crisis.
The delegation included Minister Alaeddine Terro, MP Akram Shehayeb and PSP Secretary Zafer Nasser.

Al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc MP Ahmed Fatfat lashed out at Speaker Nabih Berri, considering him the reason behind the country's political crisis.
“He (Berri) is the problem, especially regarding his provocative approach with us (the March 14 alliance) in the parliament,” Fatfat said in comments published in al-Liwaa newspaper.

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat's initiative to end the political crisis in the country is seeking to find common ground among the political foes to end the deadlock, local newspapers reported on Wednesday.
Jumblat's initiative is based on finding an alternative to Prime Minister Najib Miqati's cabinet without causing any political vacuum in the country.

Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel kicked off consultations in coordination with President Michel Suleiman to discuss the possibility of forming a new cabinet, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Wednesday.
According to the daily, Gemayel is seeking consensus among Lebanese foes to form a new government.

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat's initiative to end the political deadlock in Lebanon between the rival March 8 and 14 camps is being coordinated with President Michel Suleiman, reported As Safir newspaper on Tuesday.
His efforts are taking place with the “complete coordination” Suleiman, he told the daily, with a PSP delegation set to visit the presidential palace later on Tuesday.
