no anonymetexasusa i'm not into "conspiracy theories" for the sake of it, i'm for being realistic and not fooling ourselves thinking that world superpowers are led by candid boyscouts. people who can send thousands of their soldiers to die for oil & industrial interests, people who can massacre millions of iraqis under the obviously false pretexts of "democracy" and WMDs, can definitely organize the "new pearl harbor" they needed and had talked about before 9/11.
you know what? you put up the israeli flag, and i'll put up the syrian how about that?
or maybe you grow up and accept that you don't decide who is Lebanese and you can't impose on all lebanese people to support war criminal geagea and saudi heir-of-thiefdom hariri lest they be called non-lebanese.
what language do you speak arzak? and did you know phoenicians came from the arabic peninsula?
also, in case you claim phoenician origins, know that a DNA study made by national geographic showed that their most likely descendants are lebanese sunnis, which is coherent with the fact that phoenicians were mostly found in coastal areas, whereas christians were usually found in the moutain areas...
there are no reliable stats lebanon_first, but shiites are according to most estimations more than 33%. on the other hand, amal has more supporters than hezbollah, even though they are united and together represent about 90% of shiites
Let me stop you there: "The Syrian uprising is from the syrian people" no, that is not true. the financing is foreign, the weapons are foreign, the leadership (even those who are syrian nationals) is abroad and has no legitimacy to speak for a country they haven't lived in for decades, a lot of the fighters are foreign mercenaries, al qaeda operatives who have been blowing up indiscriminate bombs (including the last one in Aleppo a couple of days which made hundreds of dead civilians) are foreign.
take this and compare it to bahrein for instance, that nobody talks about except to say that it's an "iranian" uprising while there are no weapons no fighting no financing and the only foreign elements are the regimes soldiers and policemen who have been imported from pakistan and other countries. Bahrein has been witnessing massive DAILY protests, ALL peaceful ones, all brutally repressed, for over a year and a half, none used guns, none called for foreign intervention, none asked for foreign money
THIS my friend, is a real popular revolution, not a foreign-instigated coup
phoenix, regardless of our divergence in opinions, dont you think the "end is near" song sounds like a broken record? it's been on loop for 18 months now...
