yes, my impression as well, the sentence is intriguingly mild, which makes me think there's an underlying deal. the guy was probably framed and offered a mild sentence on condition that he admits he is from hezbollah.
the whole story is ridiculous, sounds like a soap opera to frame hezbollah

i could doubt bulgaria, but not bahrein or KSA, they're too holy and besides i'd be afraid to be bombed by an booby-trapped anus man if i piss off an oily sheikh.
for the rest, no HA is defo not peaceful, they're in the war business, and some would argue they're pretty good at it. this story just sounds too fishy to be credible. the guy had an unknown handler wearing a mask? probably a CIA or mossad agent who used him

yea totally, such heroes. it does however help that the army withdrew before they advanced, but hey, dont mind such a tiny detail. i'm sure once they all gather in the south and the army comes to pluck them they will resist well, maybe even hold a day or two

it's been two years that the army does this, they withdraw, let the rebels come in and concentrate in an area, then they surround and squeeze them out.
that's the only way to catch fighters who otherwise would be dispersed and undetectable because they can hide within the population.

syria isnt and was never an "alawi farm" that's the rethoric used by rebels to play on the sectarian string, hoping to get the sunnis to fight just because they are sunnis. syria is far more secular than lebanon, and yet in lebanon we have a maronite president, does that make lebanon a "maronite farm" ?
regarding the tortures i think you missed a lot of videos published by your beloved freedom fighters while they torture and execute people, often civilians who's only wrong was to support their president.
