kanaanljdid... the glory days of Lebanon was the 50s and 60s. Fairuz, the st george hotel, beirut, byblos, even tripoli with its oil refineries and the oil pipe line ports...without the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, those days would have continued till today! Now we have 1.5 million Syrians! God help us. What a waste of a country.

Shaker Residing in Ain el-Hilweh, Says Relations with Asir Cut

Lebanon will never know real stability until all these Palestinian camps are under the control of the state and LAF. Some question Hezbollah's arms (as I do with regard to wanting all arms under LAF control), but how often do the same people question the situation in these camps? Every outlaw has a free zone to escape to. These camps come under full control like what happened in Bedawi but hopefully peacefully.

The international media is desperately trying to keep on message that its extremist muslims fighting each other with christians collateral damage. But the reality is christians are fair "infidel" game and in the case of Boko Haram, the sole targets! Thats why boko haram killing 90 people (christians) a few days ago, barley got mentioned in the media!

Turkey the main problem... you can talk about the crusaders 1000 years ago but don't say anything about the 1.5 million Armenian christians slaughtered in a holocaust, or the millions of christians killed by stalin!

terrorist... what did Lebanon have that made it such an oasis in the middle east? The Switzerland and paris of the middle east? It didn't have oil or any natural resorces of any value, but had banking and services. The government had budget surpluses of over 5 % on average before the civil war. Unemployment was under 8%. GDP per capita was as high as western countries. It wasn't because of the ottomans or france. It was because of the agreement by the maronites to share power through democracy instead of a dictatorship. Christians and sunnis businesses flourished without discrimination. Shiites were mostly agricultural and rural. When the Palestinians came and disturbed the shiites in the south it all hit the fan. Arab nationalism and the like destroyed a great country. Now look at the result of these idiots that looked outwards instead of in! history must be taught to all Lebanese!

no Flamethrower. This franciscan Pope is the best thing to happen to the church in ages. He preaches the basic truth! Love your neighbours, help the poor, and judge not others. He is against capitalism in its purist most degenerate form. This is real a holy man. The slaughter of christians is the fault and responsibility of the western nations. They are the ones that help cause it, and do nothing but offer refuge to them fleeing! All still supporting and friendly with those nations that fund and support these terrorists committing the slaughter.

Qahwaji Says Army Foiled Plot to Ignite Lebanon, Create Sectarian Strife

26 November 2014, 17:10

Only perceived by those that are sympathetic to attackers of the LAF! Any group or party that is against the LAF is against the republic of Lebanon! The same excuse was used in the 70s and it is still as treacherous a position as it was then! The LAF is the only truly patriotic and secular institution in Lebanon for Lebanon! God bless the Watan LAF !!
