Israeli Official: Hizbullah Exploiting Maritime Border Issue to Wage War against Israel

26 July 2011, 15:06

Negotiations should also be about all issues. The Palestinian refugees, the shebba farms and ghajjar and the other farms still occupied by Israel, the maritime borders and any compensation to Lebanon for the purposeful destruction of Lebanese infrastructure as the policy of collective punishment. All these issues will result with peace! Come on Israeli public... Pressure your government to come to the full negotiating table!

Only 30 years? Wow... He could be released as a 60 odd year old? Why don't they have 30 - life? Why not Never to be released? I think a change to their maximum sentence will come from this.

Jumblat: Media, Political Battle on Arms Leads to Sectarian Tension

26 July 2011, 17:32

Citizen... One day soon, the resistance(Hezbollah) will be incorporated into the Lebanese armed forces. This is the goal of all patriotic Lebanese. However, we cannot expect them to be forced to assimilate under conditions of us v them. Were there are many in the previous government and current security forces that have openly sided with Israel against fellow Lebanese and in particular, the shites. We must acknowledge the power and discipline of hezbollah's led resistance to Israel. This is something we can use to encourage and build our self belief that we are not too small that we must submit to the powers that be. We must understand and what the south has endured over the past 50 years.Through the Palestinian,Israeli,Arab, western, soviet and Syrian war games that the southern residence had to cop! Now they have built enough power to resist one of the most powerful armies in the world. We need to build trust with them, to defend Lebanon together and then the rest will happen!

Jumblat: Media, Political Battle on Arms Leads to Sectarian Tension

When we unite and stop using foreigners for local political advantage against each other, then trust will develop. This is what general Aoun is trying. Yes, there are political and ideological differences, but this can be resolved democratically and peacefully when we unite against the foreign conspiracies and threats. Look at Israel, they are very admirable in the way they are able to unite huge differences between themselves, ideologically and religiously. There are some(ultra orthodox) that don't even believe in the state of Israel and yet they are still united internationally. We must be united internationally and let the domestic differences play their course without foreign meddling.

Aoun: Rifi’s Numerous Violations Makes him Ineligible to Remain in his Position

26 July 2011, 17:51

Thinkthere14iam... Why do u wish death on him? I dont think Sheik Sami would approve and I know many of Aoun's voters did not wish death on the martyr sheik pierre. I know many of aoun's supporters were kaataeb and supporters of sheik bashir. The problem is when geagea and hebaika began fighting each other. This mentality should stop.

May 7... The ssnp should be banned in Lebanon along with jemaa islamieha and hez bit tharir! None believe in the republic of lebanon, and if you are fair and not a fraud as well, then you too will reject them from the m14 mustaqbul coalition. Don't forget that it was rafic hariri's government that legalized the ssnp in the 90s and old mate Ahmed Fatfat that legalized jemaa islamieha and hez bit tahrir. Both of the latter groups believe in one caliphate without borders!

Lebo... I do not know what forum you are talking about, but I can assure you that I would be defending sheik Sami against any one that was calling for his death! I respect the Kaateb and sheik Sami. I might not agree with their current policy, but I would even defend saadadine bin rafic bin Abdu azziz if any idiot called for his death.

Sami Gemayel Asks Charbel to Prevent Pro-Assad Demo from 'Provoking' Jdeideh Residents

Lebanon should not interfere with Syria and what is happening there. Some say that it's time for Syria to taste some of their own medicine, and Lebanese can get some "revenge" for what they did. But Lebanon is too small a country to seek revenge on our neighbors. What ever happens there is the Syrian people's business and struggle against lack of freedoms and rights on one side and Sunni fanaticals/extremist that will take Syria to civil war on the other ("alawi in taboot and christains to beirut"). I suspect some where in the middle will eventuate and Syria will always be the same Syria to Lebanon. Big and insecure about Lebanon. Lebanon should not be demonstrating in "support of Syria" or in "support for Syrian protesters". We should support stability and peace and stay out of it.

Hizbullah Denies Claims it is Suppressing Syrian Protests

29 July 2011, 03:31

Bigdig... Gaygirlindamascus, the "leading" human rights activist twittering about the Syrian protesters and was "kidnapped" and arrested by the Syrian secret police. It was all over CNN, fox news and all the British news and "Syrian opposition"... Wel it was some fat American living in London, and decided to become kidnapped because he was starting a holidayed with his family in instabul. Syria is a police state, we all know that they do not need Hezbollah help or basij help.
