Jumblat: They Want to Control Everything, But We'll Confront Them via Ballot Boxes

06 May 2012, 20:48

Via ballot boxes true.. and after the fall of the Syrian regime, it will most likely be via an insurgency, the division of the army and the end of the lebanese state if they keep insisting on using weapons to dictate politics.

Hariri: They Want Elections, Electoral Laws Subject to Terror of Arms

06 May 2012, 21:16

March 14 coalition will sweep the 2013 elections, they will get the overwhelming suni vote, even more than 2009 (especialy given what is happening in Syria), the majority durzi vote and 50-60 percent of christian vote given the rising star of gaegae and sami gmayel. The result will be similar to 2009. Nothing will change and hizbustan will again use its weapons, only that advantage will erode versus time given the earthquake looming in Syria.

14 Civilians, 3 Troops Dead as Syria Holds Election Snubbed by Opposition

And hence the "Best democracy in the region" Michelle Aoun lol...where people are "free"...free to eat, drink, dance, and graze but would be shot dead if they spoke politics. This is the kind of lebanon that president Aoun will deliver to the lebanese cattle.

I actually think nabih berri will become the eyad alawi of lebanon. I also think that significant sector in the she3a community does not want to go to war against the suni arabs in the event of the fall of the Syrian regime. The logical outcome is that hizbustan will pragmaticaly cut their losses and not embark on a suicidal mission that will not find popularity even among the she3a themselves. It might be not hard to take over lebanon militarily for the time being (that would change in due course), but what can you do the next day?

But Mr. Orange was anti-syrian to death. I remember when i was in the US and he was preaching the US congress for three long boring hours about how evil Syria/hizbustan are, after which the congress passed the "Syria accountability law". Wake up dude, this man just wants to become president and is actually endagering the chrisitan community by putting it at odds with the vast majority of arabs for no real reason but selfish short sight idiocy.

There is no war, israel and hizbustan are in the same bed when it comes to their common real enemy: the suni arabs (vast majority)

Russian Parliament Confirms Medvedev as PM

09 May 2012, 03:01

What a pathetic country! What a joke, prime minister and president swaping positions, dictatorships in new clothes, no wonder they support bashar, they are pretty much like him: expect a russian revolution in the next ten years.

Annan Fears 'Civil War' Looming in Syria

09 May 2012, 08:14

That is already happening, but the regime will be realisticaly dead in 1-2 years even if technicaly alive. The government institutions are slowly but surely eroding. The regime does not the oil wealth of iraq or libya, it is really doomed versus time. I do agree that intervention will speed up the process and ease the post assad syria, otherwise syria will be a failed state with major reprecussions on lebanon.
