سليمان: سأتحدث بصراحة كاملة في 29 الجاري والتمديد آخر ما أفكر به

أكد رئيس الجمهورية مشال سليمان أنه "في 29 كانون الأول سيتحدث بصراحة كاملة عن كل مواضيع الساعة المطروحة"، مردفاً أن "التمديد لولايته آخر ما يفكر به"، ومضيفاً أنه " لو عرف البعض ما يسعى اليه باتصالاته لإنقاذ لبنان لما بقوا على تشكيكهم".
وكشف سليمان في حديث لصحيفة "النهار" نشر الإثنين، أن" حدثا ما سيحصل خلال السنة الجديدة نتيجة المساعي التي تبذلها المجموعة الدولية لدعم لبنان التي ولدت في نيويورك، وذلك على هامش اجتماعات الجمعية العمومية للامم المتحدة في نهاية الشهر الجاري، ولم يشأ اماطة اللثام عنه".
وبالنسبة لموعد الاجتماع الدولي الذي سيعقد في روما لمساعدة الجيش اللبناني في ضوء الخطة الخماسية التي وضعتها قيادة الجيش قال: "على الارجح في شهر آذار المقبل".
ذكر أن رئيس الوزراء الايطالي انريكو ليتا، التقى السبت الرؤساء الثلاثة ، حيث تم التشديد على دعم لبنان دوليا وتعزيز الاستقرار فيه.
وفي بيان صادر عن رئاسة الجمهورية،أشار ليتا ورئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان الى اهمية دعم المؤسسة العسكرية وقدراتها بصفتها مؤسسة تجسد وحدة الدولة بامتياز وتتكفل المحافظة على الامن.
ورحب سليمان باستعداد ايطاليا لرفع مستوى دعمها للجيش، خصوصا في مجالي التدريب وتقديم الخبرة العسكرية"، معربا كذلك عن تقديره لقرار ايطاليا بتنظيم مؤتمر دولي في روما، الشهر المقبل، لدعم قدرات الجيش، بالتنسيق مع منظمة الامم المتحدة ولبنان، وذلك على سبيل متابعة تنفيذ توصيات مجموعة الدعم الدولية للبنان".
وأشار سليمان في حديثه "يتهمونني بأنني اسعى للتمديد وهذا آخر ما أفكر به ولا هم اذا صدق المشككون أم لم يصدقوا"، مضيفاً "لو عرفوا ما اسعى اليه في اتصالاتي التي لم تنقطع من اجل لبنان وانقاذه لما بقوا على تشكيكهم".
وأوضح انه "في 29 كانون الأول سيتحدث بصراحة كاملة عن كل مواضيع الساعة المطروحة وسيجيب عن كل الاسئلة ايا كانت طبيعتها وذلك في لقاء مع مراسلي الاعلام في القصر الجمهوري".
وقيل له: "البعض يهاجمك"، فأجاب: "إني ارحب بكل انتقاد من أي فريق سياسي وهذا يعني أني أعمل". لكن البعض يستعمل عبارات غير مقبولة؟ أجاب: "اذا أتتك مذمتي من ناقص فهي الشهادة لي بأنني كامل".
يذكر أن ولاية سليمان تنتهي في 24 أيار 2014، مع العلم أنه يرفض التمديد والتجديد لها.
وكان رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري قد أكد أنه "لم يسمع ولم يتلقَّ أي اشارة من رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان بأنه يطالب بالتمديد"، مردفاً " لا اريد ان اظلم رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان بظل ما تردد بأنه يطالب بالتمديد لولايته".
وكانت قد أشارت تقارير صحافية الى أن "الرئيس الفرنسي فرنسوا هولاند بادر إلى مفاتحة نظيره اللبناني بقضية التمديد لولايته الرئاسية"، مردفة أن "رئيس الجمهورية ميشال سليمان أكد أنه يفضل تجديد انتخابه وليس تمديد ولايته دستورياً".

if they have the support of the shia community, then let us divide the country, so they can live and die the way they want without dragging us down the drain with them.
Mr. President, they represent around 30% of the population, and they have destroyed our economy, our relationship with all foreign countries, the image of Lebanon.
we need to regain our country or at least divide the country so each can live according to his/her beliefs.

Mr. President, call now for the restoration of all the powers that were taken from the post of president, then let's extend your term for at least 3 years, then the people of Lebanon will see what everyone knows, that you as a president will do what it takes to restore the direction of a country gone completely berserk. I also urge the Lebanese media to have the guts and do a poll of if the people want to see the president's term go for an extension, I am in no doubt that most will support this move. If Suleiman leaves, the post will not be filled, and if it is filled, it will be filled by a puppet, one that will have nothing to do with the interests of Lebanon. One look at what we currently have will confirm what most fear, another Mansour look-alike. Please Mr. President, do stay, I am one of the people and I have no problem having you around for as long as it takes to bring this out out of its mess.

If I had scales, I would put all our politicians combined M's on one side of the scales and our president on the other, all of them would not even amount to a quarter of his weight. God bless you Mr. President, you have a lot more support than you may know of.
