أفادت معلومات صحافية أن "منزل (رئيس الحزب العربي الديمقراطي" رفعت عيد قد تعرض لإطلاق النار ليلاً"، مردفة أن "الحزب سلم مخابرات الجيش افلام كاميرات المراقبة أظهرت السيارة التي استخدمها مطلقو النار".
وفي هذا السياق، أشارت الـLBCI، الأربعاء، الى أن "الحزب العربي الديمقراطي سلم مخابرات الجيش افلام كاميرات مراقبة أظهرت السيارة التي استخدمها مطلقو النار ليل امس على منزل (رئيس الحزب) رفعت عيد".
وكانت قد لفتت الوكالة الوطنية للإعلام، الى أن "مجهولين كانوا يستقلون سيارة أطلقوا بعيد منتصف ليل الثلثاء النار على منزل رفعت عيد في جبل محسن وﻻذوا بالفرار باتجاه منطقة البقار، وقد رد حراس المنزل من دون تمكنهم من إصابة السيارة".

FT, army aren't there to protect them always, ofcourse they can patrol the streets once in a while, but when the fighting really starts to happend, the army retreats.
That happens everytime, so what are the residents of Jabal Mohsen supposed to do? Lay down and let the salafis slit their throats? Ofcourse they defend themselves, and they got every reason to do so.
The day the army can guarantee 100% security in Tripoli, then the residents will drop their weapons, until then. It's just a fantasy

Army APCs fall back, when they come under fire from Tabbaneh, they use rocket propelled granades, and heavy machine guns. So the soldiers run for their lives, because they do not get the proper orders to shoot back.
