الجلسة 14 لانتخاب رئيس تلقى مصير سابقاتها وترجأ الى نهاية الشهر الحالي

للمرة الرابعة عشرة، أرجئت الجلسة النيابية لانتخاب رئيس جديد للجمهورية، بسبب عدم حضور النصاب المطلوب من النواب.
وأعلن رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري، الخميس، ارجاء الجلسة الانتخابية الى 29 تشرين الأول الحالي، بسبب فقدان النصاب.
وفور اعلان التأجيل، علّق وزير الاتصالات، النائب بطرس حرب قائلاً ان الدولة أصبحت بلا رئيس لأن فريقاً سياسياً يعما على تعطيل عملية انتخاب رئيس.
بدوره، قال رئيس "حزب القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع "نحن كـ 14 آذار وكقوات لبنانية نقول انه ساعة يريد الفريق الآخر ان نتفاهم على مركز الرئاسة نحن مستعدون".
وأضاف "نحن نطرح من جديد اما ان ننزل الى الانتخابات او ان نجلس سويا والتوصل الى حلّ ما".
وفَشل النواب في انتخاب رئيس جديد للبلاد في عدة جلسات انتخابية ورفض الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان تمديد ولايته، ملقياً خطاب الوداع في 24 ايار، أدخل البلاد في فراغ. ووفق الدستور، فإن الحكومة مجتمعة تتولى صلاحيات رئاسة الجمهورية.
يُذكر ان قوى 14 آذار تخوض المعركة الرئاسية بمرشحها رئيس "حزب القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع في حين ان لا مرشح معلن لـ8 آذار، اذا ان رئيس "التيار الوطني الحر" النائب ميشال عون يصر على عدم الترشح ما لم يتم التوافق على اسمه، ويدعم رئيس "الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي" النائب وليد جنبلاط مرشح "اللقاء الديمقراطي" النائب هنري حلو.

Flamey you sound like a third grader. If Lebanon is a republic/democracy, then anyone has the right to be a candidate. Since you're so confident that Aoun is more popular, what are you afraid of? Are you afraid that Geagea would get more votes than Aoun? In other words, are you afraid of real democracy actually taking place??
Geagea being a candidate is a pretext. This has nothing to do with Geagea. If Aoun really wanted to resolve this, he would propose other candidates. "But March 14 hasn't done this." Yeah, that's why Geagea even said he is open to discuss other candidates. Meanwhile, Aoun has said he will not discuss another candidate.
But I forgot through all this, Lebanon isn't a real democracy because we have 3rd graders like Aoun who throw a tantrum if other politicians get support. Aoun wants everyone to vote for him, or he sits on his couch in Rabieh like a crybaby.
