Aoun Demands Miqati to Leave the Grand Serail, Blames Universities for Students' Clashesإقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية
Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun accused Lebanese universities of causing politically-motivated standoffs between students.
“Universities are the roots of clashes between students because they forbid political dialogue on campus,” Aoun said after Change and Reform bloc's weekly meeting.
He explained: “Today, students enroll in universities with a previously formed political ideology and clashes happen because they do not have a space to express their views.”
“We hope universities will launch opportunities for political dialogue on campus,” Aoun added.
Tensions surged on Monday at the Universite Saint Joseph-Huvelin campus in Beirut as Hizbullah supporters protested against recent student elections results.
MTV said that the supporters surrounded the campus in protest, sparking tensions between them and the March 14 students.
The army soon intervened however averting any clash between the rival camps.
In a separate matter, the FPM leader called on caretaker Prime Minister Najib Miqati to “leave the Grand Serail.”
He elaborated: “Miqati is disassociating himself from local events, and many things are taking place after securing the signature of the cabinet's secretary-general Suhail Bouji and President Michel Suleiman.”
Regarding the work of the parliament, Aoun said: “The parliament, and although it has extended its mandate, is not legislating.”
“What did we do in the past four months?”
The Change and Reform bloc also tackled the imprisonment of suspects in last Junes' clashes against the military institutions in Abra in a prison in the southern town of Jezzine.
“They are held in a prison in Jezzine that is not properly equipped and does not have the necessary conditions to be a jail,” Aoun pointed out.

Aoun: The parliament, and although it has extended its mandate, is not legislating and everyone is still waiting for their rights. What did we do in the past four months?

FPM leader MP Michel Aoun: We congratulate Iran and the U.S. on the nuclear deal and hopefully peace will prevail after this accord.
and another sellout comment. Let's not blame HA for their actions, let's blame the Universities! whether you agree or disagree with the system, it does not excuse the behavior of your partners you sellout!!!!!
ala-din no bro we demand him to run away in pijamas again :D@
Aoun : "FPM leader MP Michel Aoun: We congratulate Iran and the U.S. on the nuclear deal and hopefully peace will prevail after this accord."
Mabrouk : you are the new Zionists ... now ask Hezbollah to surrender weapons. Israel is no longer a threat !
It seems you care ... you are answering my every post.
What's the thief site ? Al Manar ? Or OTV ? Or Tayyar.org ?
Oh right ! They are all thieves ....
Or what ? You will come down and kill me like your Hezbollah gorillaz ? Or you will shut me up like your "democratic" leaders ? Or threaten me with High tension electicity ?
as expected ... you chose violence over dialogue ... just like the animals you defend :)
the_snore has returned with a vengeance, 30 plus comments in defense of the pajama x-genaral. Truly Pathetic :-(
taratatataaa General !!! :)
Aoun : The arrested men in the Abra clashes are held in a prison in Jezzine that is not properly equipped and does not have the necessary conditions to be a jail.
And our other prisons are properly equipped ? How about when Hezbollah "Arrests" people ... do they have proper prisons ? no comment on this Leur General ?
Says the person who does triple shifts :)
You are incapable of answering me so come up with baseless and utterly stupid accusations ...
Lol ... the_snore ... you bring joy to my life when I read your comments, reminds me of the childhood days ... what are you gonna tell him next? 7et 7alak be sa7en?!
Grow up ya walad and engage in real dialogues and not some stupid rhetoric
Aoun :"clashes happen because they do not have a space for dialogue."
No ! Clashes happen because their leaders are incompetent and are brainwashing them with lies !
The sad and ugly truth is that there are people who hate M14 as well as M8.
Get used to it... life is much bigger than your bipolar view of the world.
And don't lecture on "stealing" and "thieves"... you guys have robbed Lebanon of it's democracy, it's freedom and it's economy... you will not rob us of our future !
I have "stollen" someone elses name ?
If my name was (*&(*&#__--FlameThrower--__#$#$# :) maybe...
But I catch the "flames" ... because this guy and yourself are burning Lebanon and people like me are the only thing preventing this country from going to hell...
Now go complain to your kindergarden teacher ... FT is strong enough to attack me on his own ... he doesn't need you to play his battles !
The_Purr : are you out of Hashish ? I thought you had an oversupply ... smoke a puff or two and Keep Calm !
And with your M8 leaders, you're in no position to accuse anyone else of being thieves.
It;s obvious you don't have any leaders :) This is why you have your animal reactions when someone hits on your divine holyness Aoun and Nasrallah ...
Go lie somewhere else...
Seems you know your way around the market. How many people did Hezbollah butcher to get hold of it ?
You wouldn't believe facts if they hit you in the face... anyway... enough with you. You're such a waste of time and bytes...
may god save your lost soul ...
Aoun : "What did we do in the past four months?"
Ask Hezbollah, they are too busy in Syria to achieve anything ...
Last I looked, you controlled the "majority" of both parliament and government ...
What happened with that ?
Again ... stop promoting tayyar.org ... it's full of idiots and there is no dialogue... only monologues.
It seems you do ... I won't beat it. But it seems you will "beat me". You and your gorilla tactics ...
There is no possible democracy in Lebanon or dialogue with animals like you !
The _roar.. I have nothing against you bro!! However, Aoun and Nassrallah hijacked the whole nation to serve their personal interest and the interest fo Iran. They are thugs and thugs they will always be...
In any case, based on your request, I will definitely check with my parents on that, if that is what you wish...
I was with the Lebanese Forces, the day your general unleash his anger on us and suddenly he asked the LF to disarm, while every one else still had arms... Your general is a coward. He wanted the Lebanese Forces to disarm, so he can control the Christian voice and be the only one.
Let me ask you this; The Lebanese Forces had to disarm in his opinion because it was a militia, but it is ok for Hezzbullah to keep its arms... Let me refresh your memory roar, Hizzbullah is also a militia.
Your general should have asked for ALL the militia to disarm, not to pick up on one militia (in this case the LF) to disarm alone.
The Lebanese Forces gave thousands and thousands of marytrs while fighting against the PLO and the Syrian army during the hegemony, so don't brag much about your genral. We were the first to die for this nation. At least, we never changed course, unlike your traitor general.
Not a fan of lf but the general (yes the one and only) said few years ago that hezbollah was a militia under the control of the syrian regime abd it had to be disarmed... Sorry that was when he went doing his speech for syria accountability act in front of american politicians, when we were on the streets getting threatened by ahbech and jailed under the order of jamil el sayed and co. so i guess that was a long time ago...
"the universities must STOP any political activity and narrow down student activity to one thing: studying and becoming better persons. you want to be a political leader, do it outside the cdre of your university (be active in your municipality for example)."
well said FT, for once!
"Aoun Demands Miqati to Leave the Grand Serail, Blames Universities for Students' Clashes"
Blame Hizzbullah for provoking all this, you senile man...
Aoun = Most powerful christian in Lebanon ?
We christians truly have no hope left...
The most powerful christians in Lebanon are actually people you have not heard of. They control banks, media, advertising and most of our economy.
Aoun is a bacteria compared to these guys who actually control politicians like puppets...
But if you insist on calling aoun powerful, go ahead ... this doesn't make it true. it makes you pathetic.
The most powerful christian in Lebanon does not obey to Hezbollah and jump to their defence. They don't accuse Bashar of killing Hariri and side with him the next month...
There is nothing powerful about Aoun except his partner's weapons !
Yes ... and the USJ vote has spoken... so shut up already ... Aoun is no longer the most powerful Xtian. Accept your defeat and prepare your next elections because you're going to need another divine intervention
Unlike you, I have an opinion and don't switch sides according to which I believe is the strongest.
I understand democracy better than any Aouni.
For starters, I don't side with regimes like Iran, Syria and Saudi which piss on your democracy. I don't side with Hezbollah who's concept of democracy and vote is the number of weapons you hold. Whose concept of dialogue is eliminating your enemy or calling them zionists because they don't adhere to their ideals.
You want democracy ? Aoun can indeed be the strongest politician in Lebanon. Not only Christian. But to achieve that, he will have to build a party that is INDEPENDENT of such trashy partners. And demand a Lebanon free of any external influence including Iran and Syria. Not just Saudi.
With that, I will be his first supporter. Until then, god help us !
I love seeing people stuck in a bipolar mindset. You can salivate to the idea that i'm M14 all your life. This doesn't make it true.
I despise them just as much as you do. But I hate hezbollah more and anything that stands in the way of terminating their role of Lebanese Resistance and disarming them.
I'm against Hezbollah and with anyone who stands in the way.
All other issues are secondary at this point in time because nothing can be solved permanently without dealing with Hezbollah first.
M14's time is coming and they too will be eliminated. It's just a matter of eliminating the bigger threat first !
No hezbollah is the nice guy, salman got killed by mistake in front of our dear security forces and army... The guy was just checking boutros harb elevator so that's why he didnot compare to justice, all the threat that if u elect a president in simple majority, if u do a one sided cabinet(cause this ine is not one sided)in fact if do not as it pleases hezbollah u will see what will happen.. And not to forget,:hariri, kassir,hawi..supects are not going to trial bc they are saints....
So u see hezbollah has nothing to be blamed for...
Yes let's all put some untouchable leader on top of each sect, someone that we cannot critisize and we'll have a great democratic country, again a very constructive coment, thank you roar...
Tell that to your general. He is the one who declared war on the LF (Christian militia).
" We hope universities will launch opportunities for political dialogue on campus."
universities are a place to study not to do politics and breed your future sheep...
a responsible politician would say that, but is aoun responsible as he never was...
i see that in all the posts here you just spend your time on attacking others but NEVER a comment on the article...
it shows how empty you are and that you are just here to try and look strong when you cannot even debate on the subject...
seems you are a big frustrated bullied guy who thinks that behind his keyboard he can play the strong when in fact people just ignore you...
you want to play? sorry but i am not here to enter your idiotic game of "see -i-am-the-best-at-insulting-others" so find another one to play with you baby boy...
I usually agree with ur post but not on this one, in lebanon we get into life in saint jean or rasul al aazam or any other religious funded hospital, we live in our village/city wich also has a religious caracter in general, we go to a schoo where most of the student are from the same sect... university should be a food place to mingle/exchange ideas, views, know eachother and maybe share comon views... So why not politics in university? The college student should be the leadding power for change.... I know in theory but this is how i see things..
just as i thought, you are nothing but hot air and cannot have an opinion on your own, pathetic idiot....
i guess then you support corruption as you do not want to denounce it... typical M8er... we can be corrupted but not the others!
thank you for your answer: it shows your true pathetic nature....
"You mean I should keep debating with someone who lies?"
PLUS i never ask you to debate with me as you are a waste of time: all i see is that you spend your time here attacking others but you do not even denounce the scandal that took place this afternoon...
just to show you how empty you are with nothing to say... poor boy.
In deed syrian social nationalist party is patriotic (if ir nation is great syria).... Hezbollah and the islamic resistance is patriotic (if ur nation is islam), el tawhid in tripoli (bilal che3ban and hachem menkara) are so patriotic... And that can go on... Not saying th march 14are better but please stop this nonesence man....
Iran is not a jihadist country, that was only by mistake that after a revolution done together against imperialism that most of the communist got executed, that there is a number of religious that chose who can apply to presidency and who cannot and such a tolerant regime with the bassij... Yes indeed... In fact maybe achtaf zoum menn saoudi but not that much.... Man be a litle realistic there...
Since Christmas is coming, maybe I will buy a nice looking pajama for the General.. Hey maybe he needs it in case he needs to do a midnight run to the embassy...
there's nothing wring in being ill... it happens 2 every1. however, wat i find disturbing is that his followers deny it. they r probably sicker than he is because they r struck by some kind of mass amnesia crisis.... or God knows wat it is. I hope he pays them well..... 4 wat they r enduring 4 him.
he's blaming the victims.... what a sick mentality this Aooun has.
he also blamed Rafic Hariri (RIP) for not having a good armoured to sustain Hezbollah's terrorist attack on him.
majnaoun has a new meaning!
Another useless empty speech from the turncoat lunatic… he always finds someone to blame.
No blessing or delusional thinking is going to change the fact that what Aoun is and will always be remembered for, is being the Biggest Lebanese Cowered of all time.
Do not buy the propaganda of this idiot The-Bore. He tries to promote the Clown as the "Christian leader" of Lebanon.
The truth is that M14 won the Christian vote in the last elections, and M14 has more Christian MP's than M8.
By the Constitution, there 128 Members of Parliament, and half are Christian (64 Christian MP's).
M8 has only 31 Christian MP's out of the 68. M14 has 37.
Last time I checked, 37 is greater than 31.
Careful people-power or you will incur the wrath of the Mighty snore… it is rumored he has bored many people into submission.
Bored them to sleep more likely :)
