Hezbollah MP says sovereignty advocates in Lebanon 'fell silent' after Msayleh strike

Hezbollah MP Hassan Ezzeddine condemned Tuesday Israel's weekend strikes on construction machinery in south Lebanon, describing the attack as "a crime against civilians, the economy and national sovereignty".
Ezzeddine criticized Hezbollah's opponents who call for sovereignty (through Hezbollah's disarmament in order for the state to extend its authority over all Lebanese territory and take the war and peace decisions) and then "fall silent" when Israel violates Lebanon's sovereignty "with such impudence."
The strike on Msayleh in the Saida district had targeted several bulldozer and excavator showrooms, resulting in the death and wounding of several civilians and grave material damage.
Ezzeddine called on the Lebanese state to take a "unified, courageous, and decisive" official stance, adding that unity and agreement between the Lebanese is a strength point to Lebanon, alongside the resistance and the army.
Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, a staunch opponent of Hezbollah, had reiterated Monday his stance regarding the November ceasefire, violated by near-daily Israeli strikes and the occupation of five hills in south Lebanon.
Geagea said in order to liberate the occupied territories and stop the Israeli attacks, Lebanon must first disarm Hezbollah.
