Lebanon’s health ministry said an Israeli strike killed at least six people on Wednesday in a densely-packed area south of the capital Beirut, outside Hezbollah’s traditional strongholds.
"The Israeli enemy strike on Aramoun killed six people" and wounded 15 others, the ministry said giving a preliminary toll, adding that "body parts were recovered from the site and their identities are being verified."

At least ten strikes hit Beirut's southern suburbs Tuesday morning, less than an hour after the Israeli army called for residents of several neighborhoods in the Hezbollah bastion to evacuate.
AFPTV footage showed plumes of grey smoke rising from the area. Witnesses told AFP gunfire could be heard in the area ahead of the strikes -- warning shots by residents for people to leave following the evacuation call.

Lebanese state-run media said Israel struck a house in the northern Akkar region on Monday, one of the farthest attacks from the border in its war against Hezbollah, killing and wounding at least 28 Syrian citizens, displaced Lebanese and town residents.
Lebanese Red Cross chief Georges Kettaneh meanwhile told LBCI television that at least seven people were killed and 14 others wounded in the strike, as TV networks said the strike had been preceded by the bombing of a car near the building.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar on Monday said there had been "certain progress" on a ceasefire in Lebanon after the Israeli army launched an operation in the country targeting Hezbollah.
"There is certain progress," Saar said in response to a question about a possible ceasefire. "We are working with the Americans on the issue," he told reporters in Jerusalem.
