Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri warned on Sunday of the hazards of the sectarian incitement, calling on the Lebanese to exert efforts to prevent sedition in the country.

Hizbullah had recently buried in Lebanon 38 of its fighters, who were killed on Syrian territory, al-Joumhouria daily reported quoting the joint military command of the Free Syrian army.

Shells fired Sunday during clashes inside Syria struck the outskirts of the Akkar towns of al-Noura, al-Qashlaq, Wadi al-Hour, Janine and Amar al-Baikat, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.
LBCI television reported that the shelling also targeted the outskirts of the town of al-Arma.

Lebanon and Jordan are playing with fire by allowing “jihadists” and “weapons” to pass across their borders into Syria, the Syrian government daily al-Thawra warned on Sunday.
"The fire of terrorism will consume not only Syria, but could spread to Lebanon and Jordan, particularly if these two countries intervene in the situation in Syria, ignoring the flow of armed men and weapons from their territory, or by participating directly in the conspiracy against Syria," the newspaper said.

Syrian rebels have seized several weapons depots in the village of Khan Toman in Aleppo province after days of fierce clashes, a military source told Agence France Presse on Sunday.
"Opposition fighters gained control over weapons and ammunition stores in the village of Khan Toman in southern Aleppo province on Saturday after fierce fighting that went on for more than three days," the source said.

The body of a Hizbullah member killed in fighting in Syria was buried in southern Lebanon early on Sunday, several residents of the man's village told Agence France Presse.
"The funeral of Hassan Nimr Shartouni, 25, was this morning in Mays al-Jabal after the arrival of his body from Syria where he was killed in fighting yesterday (Saturday)," one resident told AFP.

The United States condemned the Syrian violations along Lebanese border, lashing out at warnings by the regime of President Bashar Assad that its forces would fire into Lebanon if "terrorist gangs" continued to infiltrate the country.

Syrian regime forces pounded the rebel-held town of Binesh near the Turkish border killing a woman and five children, and also rained shells on parts of Damascus on Saturday, a watchdog said.
Activists said the six people killed in Binesh were a woman and her five children, but the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights could not immediately confirm they were from the same family.

The European Union's top diplomat, Catherine Ashton, urged caution Saturday on a proposal by Britain and France to arm the rebels fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime.
"We have to work through, very carefully, the best understanding we can have of what would be the implications," she said, the day after the EU wrapped up a summit without reaching agreement on easing an arms embargo to allow weapons shipments to the rebels.
