No big deal. The israeli flag larger than the Lebanese flag, i think is most of the controversy. Jews love our food and culture. i know many of them in Australia who cant get enough, especially hommous and falafel. Lebanese are proud of our culture, food and music, and we love to share this culture, but they are politicizing it with the flags... which to many, represents Lebanese acceptance of Israeli policy. take the flags out and you take out the politics.

The point is, it is legal to sell alcohol and I am against any party, be they Hezbollah or jemaa islamieha that forces legal shops to close. People have rights and this issue must be addressed all over Lebanon and not just used as a political tool when it suits certain groups. This is occurring in tripoli, sidon, nabatiyeie and many other areas in Lebanon. I am not against municipalities having dry laws but it must be law and not vigilaty justice and individual rights must be respected and protected and compensated.
Is Ehud Barak wondering how much of the budget cuts are going to effect poor old israel? Is the debate about raising the debt ceiling and the budget cuts, going to effect the Israeli aid budget to the idf?
As for the U.N. Report on the Turkish flotilla... Will the continued delay of the report change what it says? That Israel violated international waters and bordered and killed civilians trying to provide medical and educational aid to gaza? Wheel chairs and primary school books are a huge threat to Israel!
