Jumblat Calls against Victimizing Arsal: Some Petty MPs Employing Clash for Political Gain

11 February 2013, 17:20

Those who tie the attack by foriegn backed and armed groups fighting a foreign war that does not concern lebanon, on the Lebanese military (the Wotan)... A deliberate unprovoked attack on Lebanese terrotory, against the sole truly patriotic Lebanese institution, should regain from trying to score political points and disown and reject these terrorists. There can be no justification to a deliberate attack on the Lebanese army!

Al-Rahi to Head to Iraq, Russia after Syria Visit

11 February 2013, 17:53

Starsky... How has he "backed" extremist states? Because he hasn't ignored his own christain flock? He is the leader of the whole Maronite church! Maronites are not only Lebanese! They are Syrian, Australian, American, Canadian, Brazilian, French, turkish, Iraqi etc, etc! There are even Israeli and palestinian Maronites!

There are 10 million Maronites around the world! All look to the batrak for spiritual support and guidance! In Syria... The third largest Maronite community in the world after Lebanon and brazil, he has a obligation to protect, help and guide them through this turmoil.

Not just Maronites, he is also the only middle eastern catholic cardinal! The Chaldeans and the Melkite and other Catholics in Palestine and Israel. He is the vatican's representative for the all middle east!

Phalange to Make New Electoral Law Proposal: Hizbullah's Defiance of the State Led to Arsal Attack

11 February 2013, 18:07

Great comment gabby! Let everyone rebell against the Lebanese state! This will break the most powerfull non state organization! What a smart proposal. You should run in the next election on that policy!

The kateab is the only paty that can legitimately challenge hezballah. Every one else, including mustaqbul party, The LF, the psp and other so called independents in the m14 have all voted for hezballah as a legitimate resistance party. Their arms have been legitimized under the government of Sinora. The LF, mustaqbul and the psp were in an electoral alliance in 2005 against the fpm in baabda!

So settle down! Like it or not, every government has legitimized the resistance through parliament! The only other way is with the fpm that works with them through trust not through the lies and trechory!

Russia: France Fighting in Mali Rebels It Armed in Libya

11 February 2013, 18:42

FT... I can't agree with this one. The U.S. marines were not invading and uninvited. They were invited in 56 by Presidant Chamoun to help against the Nassar inspired "Arab" revolution. Then they were invited in by presidant Gemayel to help in the aftermath of the Israeli invasion. The US Marines, French and British all deployed to help reinstate Lebanese state authority and pressured the Israeli withdrawal! At the time it was against communists and Israeli fascism. Unfortunately the rare gesture of good will was seen as weakness and another front for the Islamic republic of iranian's war and revenge for what happened in Iran!

Again Lebanon was the chess board!

Still though, it has nothing to do with this and a Sunni fanatic using suicide bombings is a classic.

There is a difference. Myself, my father and my uncles and cousins are all members of the kataeb, some fought in the LF but none are member of the current mutated LF political party! The LF was never ment to be a political party! Like it or not, the LF and kataeb are different.

Al-Rahi to Head to Iraq, Russia after Syria Visit

11 February 2013, 19:08

Your asking the batrak to stop looking at the world in terms of his christain flock? If he did so he would be neglecting his duty and position! He is not taking sides... He is just ignoring your politics and voicing his people's struggles! The christains done nothing but remain neutral and uninvolved but they have only been slaughtered and persecuted by these rebellions in return.

Do we blame the Sunni muftis in suadi Arabia and Egypt for all the terrorist problems? Maybe we should under your logic?

Al-Rahi to Head to Iraq, Russia after Syria Visit

11 February 2013, 19:44

The christains in Iraq did not take sides! The christains in Syria have remained very neutral and there are many reports of christains siding with rebels and even a christain as the head of the opposition government. But that doesn't matter when the reality is that they are being slaughtered in Homs and other rebel fundemtalist strong holds. Make no mistake... I am not pro Ba'ath Syrian. I have no love for the Syrian regime! But don't glorify your fsa, they include the true rapists of lebanon, and most believe Lebanon is nothing more than the 16th Provence of Syria!

What goes around comes around but Lebanon has seen enough! This is repeat of the 75 civil war when the Sunni of Lebanon sided against the Lebanese army with the Palestinian... This time its the 250,000 Syrian refuges instead if Palestinians in Lebanon. Let's for once be truly patriotic and regect these terrorist against our patriotic army!

Independent March 14 Officials Slam Orthodox Law that 'Paves Way for Lebanon's Division'

21 February 2013, 18:09

Independent m14 christains!
LoL... Now we can just make up groups! U are either a slave to the mustaqbul m14 that owes their political life to them, or they are independent! The ones that have exercised their independence are not part of Boutros Harb's movement! Do we all forget that mr harb was the Syrian number one christain mp? When the christains boycotted the 1994 and 2000 elections, Boutros harb was the number one pro Syrian occupation winner! Now, when the christains are all pro orthodox election proposition... The christain slave savior arrives again!

UNHCR: At Least 305,753 Syrian Refugees Currently in Lebanon

23 February 2013, 18:17

More than 300,000 Syrian refugees in Lebanon!!! No one cares. These poor souls will end up like the Palestinians.

Before the Lebanese civil war started in 75, there were almost 300,000 Palestinian refugees. Now there are approximately 400,000. Living in poverty and perfect pickings for extremist. All of Lebanon's problems have steamed from refugees.
