Al-Rahi Condemns Political Acts that Worsen Differences among Lebanese

Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi on Sunday criticized politicians for covering up the crimes committed by the force of arms, and for deepening divisions among the Lebanese.

During his sermon in his summer seat of Diman, al-Rahi said: “The political acts that cause and worsen differences and divisions are unacceptable.”

He also said that some politicians were “paralyzing constitutional institutions, violating laws and covering up the violations committed by the forces of arms.”

Such acts were threatening internal stability, he added.

Last month, al-Rahi slammed both the March 8 and 14 alliances for “tarnishing Lebanon’s image.”

In a harshly worded sermon at Our Lady of Lebanon basilica in Harissa, al-Rahi called for “national reconciliation among politicians.”

The patriarch also accused the two foes of preventing the parliamentary elections from taking place, paralyzing the formation of a new “strong and capable government,” and pushing the Lebanese people in Syria's war.

God bless al Rahi for criticizing February 14-sponsored terrorism, including Assir and the rest of the jihadist terrorist thugs in Lebanon (FM, Kataeb, PSP, LF, etc.).

I suggest you read it again--he is criticizing ALL sides including your farsi fascists, but then again I would expect you would need more knowledge than a parrot to be that insightful.

"kanaan" you are an idiot and low act. The Patriarch has every right to criticize any and all who are involved in the public sector. What is not acceptable is illiterate people like you who don't understand the knowledge and far outlook religious and political our Patriarch has addressed. Long live our Patriarch.

How about military acts your Eminence?? How about serial killings your Eminence, as a way to gain the upper hand in politics ? How about terrorism and money laundering ? What do you do your eminence when a terrorist gang has bought his way into its own community, and holds a whole country hostage and subjects it at bullit length to the will of its rogue foreign sponsors and masters ??

I am going to mmake a similar comment but hopefully in a respectful way.
I personally despise the over-decorated hat and cloth they wear. It make them look aloof and above the masses. I much prefer that they wear something more humble (such as the late Pope II, he looked so divine and so with the common man). But unfortunately in Lebanon appearances are supposed to be a reflection of your status. The status symbol in Lebanon is how well you dress and what you drive.
