Iran media says draft deal with US would end war in Lebanon

Iran's Mehr news agency published on Friday what it said was a draft deal with the United States to provide a framework for an end to the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

The agency said the memorandum of understanding would include a "permanent and immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon".

Israel strikes on south Lebanon: Latest developments

The Israeli army struck Friday Jebshit, Kfartebnit, Blat, al-Bayyad, Qalaway and Debbine, as Hezbollah claimed attacks overnight into Friday on Israeli troops and equipment in Yohmor-Shqif, Bint Jbeil, Naqoura, Qawzah, Rshaf, Zawtar and Tayr Harfa.

Israeli artillery meanwhile shelled Bouyout al-Siyyad and Blat.

Displaced families bury relatives in temporary graves

At a cemetery in southern Lebanon, Ghada Hussein clutched images of her son, a Hezbollah fighter killed in an Israeli strike and buried in a temporary grave because the family cannot return to her border village.

In a section just above the regular cemetery in Haret Saida, dozens of graves have been dug into the gravelly earth, many lined with cement blocks and holding coffins made with construction board.

Aoun says will not pull out of negotiations despite pressure

Work underway to clear up sticking points before Washington talks, report says

The U.S. supports the Lebanese demands in direct talks with Israel in Washington, a senior political source said.

The source told Nidaa al-Watan newspaper, in remarks published Thursday, that the U.S. pressured Israel to retract a previously proposed draft declaration of intent, in favor of the Lebanese demands -- a comprehensive ceasefire before moving to the next pilot zone phase.

Israel says Hezbollah drones cross border for second straight day

Hezbollah launched drones at Israel on Wednesday and Thursday, Israel's Foreign Ministry said, as it accused the group of serving Iran's interests.

"Yesterday evening and again this morning, the Iranian terror regime's proxy, Hezbollah, launched drones at Israel from Lebanon, in (a) blatant violation of the ceasefire," the Foreign Ministry posted on the X platform.

Rajji says Hezbollah, including political wing, 'illegal and destabilizing'

Two killed, several wounded in Israeli strikes on south and east

One person was killed Thursday and seven others were wounded in an Israeli strike on Abbasiyeh in south Lebanon. Another person was killed in West Bekaa in a strike on Sohmor.

Other strikes targeted Jwaya, Kfarshouba, Kfarjoz, Kfartebnit, Taraya, Deir Kifa, Majdalzoun, al-Mansouri, al-Qatrani, Shehabiyeh, Qalaway, Kherbet Selem, Deir Qanoun, Mashghara, Srifa, al-Henniyeh, al-Ghandourieh, Shoukine, Habboush, Toura, Tyre and Nabatiyeh.
