PS: Tunisians are 85% Sunni.
@Trueself: Assad offered to open talks but the "peaceful protesters" who started the first protest by killing 7 policemen refused.
He announced constitutional changes and opening elections to opposition parties (and thus opening the way to democracy) but they turned it down.
I agree with you, dialogue would be better here, but there's one side who doesnt want it and is depicted by medias as the "democratic" one, while the other voice is made inaudible while he offers change and democracy. They want a regime change, not democracy, they want a puppet they can manipulate as they want, not someone chosen by the people.
Finally, just as a reminder, the majority of the Syrian population supports Assad and the pro-Assad protests, although less frequent, have gathered much much more people.

nonetheless, even if we take those figures, you must know that among those there is at least 1000 soldiers and policemen, it is not a one-way thing, it is an armed rebellion which the medias are shamelessly camouflaging.
hahaha look at the "democrats" who deny millions of people's voices, "we know better than you what you want so STFU and do as we say"

"St JEan de Guadaluppe" no of course there are no casualties in the pro regime demonstrations, and if there were that would only double their numbers, it is a known fact that people portrayed as "persecuted" gather much more support than they normally would.
