The people voted for m8 in a landslide majority, but the seats distribution gave 71 MPs to m14 (60 if you dont count Joumblat's) and 57 to m8.

Peace: yes, indeed it was democracy and the result was accepted. m14 had 60 seats, m8 57 and Joumblat 11.
As long as Joumblat was with m14 they had the majority, and m8 accepted it, there was not one protest nor inflamed speeches.

When m14 lost Joumblat, as well as Mikati and Mikati's MPs (1 or 2? not sure) they lost the majority, they should have accepted it. They didnt, instead they had the "day of rage" where they desperately called their supporters to "rise and show their anger" burning TV vans and beating up journalists, only to realize they didnt have enough support. They merely got a couple of hundred supporters on martyr's square.

Besides that, regarding the lesson of democracy, people do have the right to ask for the resignation of a president or a government, especially if this one has as you stated "20%" of support. The sit in in downtown pre-2008 was peaceful and fully democratic, just like tahrir square or occupy wallstreet movements.

fifth, about the evidence, a lot was submitted to the STL, through official channels, but the STL disregarded them all, never commented on it or included them in their reports. they just conveniently pretend it doesnt exist.
