Bkirki Seeking to Hold Meeting for Major Christian Leaders

16 July 2013, 16:05

phoenix... never will we see another like him. his son, his brother, nothing like him again. if he wasn't assassinated in 82, how different Lebanon would be right now?

Call Aoun every insult in the world... he is defiantly not the same man or have the same charisma and statesmanship, but his republican views, patriotism and stubbornness for the law is the closest we have to a nationalist. If only the Kataeb and FPM can unite. They are the closest to free political parties in Lebanon. The maarada is tied to the Baath party, Geagea's LF is stuck to Mustaqbul Saudi funds. Only the Kataab and the FPM have shown their political independence to make a stand against their alliance's wrong doings.

Report: Berri Plans Decree that Delays Qahwaji's Retirement Date

17 July 2013, 11:43

If they want to extend the retirement age for every security officer to 65, than so be it. But this idea of changing the rules of law when ever it pleases for one off situations is what the problem is. "Constitutional fatwa" is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time. Makes a joke of Lebanon.

Let's just have khawajie lead a military coup and be a dictator for 10 years. I will be happy with that!

Syrian Pro-Regime Figure Killed in Southern Lebanon

17 July 2013, 18:21

ron in la... believe it or not, its not about 1 billion muslims v 7 or 14 million jews... its about apartheid style racism that the Zionist promote. 35% of palestinians in the 1940s were christian. most of the world that objects to this injustice are christians from latin america and europe. only european government guilt from the nazis holocaust is allowing Zionist israel to continue their anti human practices. china does not have zionist politicians and when they become the super power, israel will be forced to change just like south africa.

as for this article... its a shame that lebanon is now the playground or chessboard for these battles.

Geagea Slams Nasrallah's Willingness to Resume Dialogue

20 July 2013, 16:55

Who "slams" someones willingness for dialogue? Nasrallah called for dialogue about all domestic issues including the arms of Hezbollah and publicly stated for the first time that they wish for the LAF to take over the role of the "resistance". Shouldn't his statement be welcomed instead of "slammed"?

Sometimes its important to accept and welcome the olive branch. I'm interested in how the Kataeb responds. Sami Gemayel is the one to listen to.

Geagea Slams Nasrallah's Willingness to Resume Dialogue

20 July 2013, 18:08

ISF Urges People to Refrain from Celebratory Fireworks

20 July 2013, 18:23

I agree with the isf with shooting in the air... but fireworks? the lebanese are professionals in knowing and identifying the difference between gunfire, shelling, air raids, car bombes and the noise from fireworks! it's the week of mar elias and mar charbel day? fireworks are not going to scare or raise the fear of people.

Suleiman Says Army-People-Resistance Formula No Longer Applicable in Policy Statement

07 August 2013, 15:29

This is the Presidant of the Republic of Lebanon! Finally we are hearing a statesman!

Unfortunately, all our Presidant can do is make speeches. We need an adjusted constitution, not to extend parliament or positions, but to give more power to the Presidant so that he can end deadlocks like we are seeing now with the formation of the new cabinet. The Tiaf accord has made these constant deadlocks routine. PM designate Salam can take 20years to form a government and no one can do anything about it.

The resistance should officially join the LAF and together with the people we can Truely overcome everything together as a strong united Lebanon.

Suleiman Says Army-People-Resistance Formula No Longer Applicable in Policy Statement

Southern, we know the reasons and however justified and supported by most of the lebanese people, the point is there needs to be coordination with the LAF. The way to do that is full integration with the state.
