they are enemies when their objective is to destroy you, take your land, water and resources and ditch you in some refugee camp or open air concentration camp.
in the case of syria, nusra/fsa/wtv are using the border to launch attacks and smuggle weapons, the syrian army is not there trying to hurt lebanon but instead defending itself, there is a huge difference.

no, i blame the lebanese for the civil war and for inviting syria in. then syria went out, get over it, they've been out for 8 years and the only way they could come back is if the fanatical islamic empire whackos take power

well who ended the civil war arzak? now i'm neither for the syrian occupation nor defending it, but when you invite a foreign power to stop a civil war you can't have it both ways: be free and sovereign because you want it and under foreign tutelage because you're too immature to take responsibility.
now anyway this is no longer relevant, they came in on our demand and left on our demand as well. israel didnt just leave, it took decades of resistance operations to make the cost of staying too high for them, so they withdrew, but that didnt stop them from bombing the whole country and reducing our infrastructure to rubble. they keep making threats and they're eyeing our waters and oil riches..
how many more differences do we need before we can say the two are different?

but seriously, stop sticking that tag on everyone who is against the rebels, i'm not pro-syrian because i believe they are a huge threat to Lebanon. It is clear that some political/religious leaders in lebanon only support the rebels because they hope that when they take over syria, they'll place their pawns in power in lebanon. it's so hypocrite to be claiming you're for a sovereign country then go suck up to terrorists and rebels (and saudis) to "name" you as prime minister of lebanon.

okay this is confusing i have two lebanon firsts, which do i answer first? :P

first first: well, if he's not a shield, than what would it be with nusra in power? yes i heard it already, you're going to say that some moderates "could" take power, but first i doubt it given that nusra is the most organized, most funded, best armed group. i dont see how the small divided moderate movements would stand a real chance. and please don't tell me about FSA and the SNC, they're puppets for the US and turkey, i might even prefer fanatics from our side than imperialists' lackeys. and about samaha since when is he an islamist? the case was disturbing, i grant you that, but the circumstances were pretty muddled too. many say the guy was a known agent for french secret services, and they used him to create a "read-hand" case, and i still wonder who that shadowy "witness" is.. there could be more to the case than it appears...
