i do not know about the attack and if the figure is true (if it is, HA will announce the martyrs like they always do, so let's wait and see)
but regarding Sayyida Zeynab shrine, the place where the daughter of Ali is believed to be burried, it was already the target of terrorist attacks:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=awKezODudySg&refer=home
and HA had already announced that they took over its protection to avoid further destruction of a holy place:
http://english.al-akhbar.com/content/hezbollah%E2%80%99s-role-syria
"Hezbollah took over the task of protecting the Sayida Zainab shrine south of Damascus after its Iraqi guards left. Party members are deployed there under a plan that restricts their responsibility to the immediate vicinity of the shrine."
lebanonfirst: could be the same as sending a bullet to someone to make a threat, the bullet is not going to fire itself into the receiver's head, but it's a message
you're trying to sound smart? note that "trying" is the key word here
if a source close to HA says that HA announced smtg, then you can safely consider that HA announced it. then you can go on to doubt the veracity of the statement if you want, but the key reason why i posted the akhbar link is to say they had announced it.
now maybe you want to doubt the fact that they were, as the announced, deployed there? that would also contradict your claim that 12 of them were killed there, if they weren't. so, what's it going to be geha?
a bombed can be fused without being set to explode, but whatever, we'll never why they put it there and what they were thinking, or even who put it there... so everyone will speculate and chose to believe what they want...
"...were killed on Wednesday, in fighting, shelling and summary executions"
we know for fact that the houla massacre for instance was committed by fanatical rebels (they turned out to be the few alawites who were living in the village).
at the time all the blame was put on the SAA, and there was a huge media coverage around it. but when the facts surfaced all medias shied away from reporting them, because it's not politically correct to denounce the rebels for what they are: bloodthirsty murderers who will slaughter anyone not complying with their demands.
so now until we know who those civilians were, how they were killed and by who, you have no right to pin blame and this applies both ways (i cannot say they were executed by spiteful rebels as revenge for the assault, even though it is a possibility i do not know).
in the mean time, when you have people throwing mortar shells around the country, hitting universities, mosques, residential areas, i do not think ANY army in the world would sit idly while they seize cities. ANY country in the world would fight back, the question is how they do it and if they do all they can to minimize civilian casualties.
i agree the STL is a waste of time and money, because they can only accuse one side. if it's israel behind the assassination they will never say it, they even refused to investigate in that direction and ignored and leads that didn't go in the chosen way. it's flawed from the start.
however this mentality of accusing without proof, the so classic "everyone knows" which is merely the reflection of what propaganda put in "everyone's" head, is completely unacceptable, it means you let propaganda take control when you should be asking for evidence, proof, reason and facts. i wish there was a real investigation and trial, only truth can save us
