Peace. aoun's block have only been in government for 2 and half years. Hezbollah since 2005. What really can they be accused of? I agree, fpm or not, all should be opened and investigated in a transparent manner. The rest are Amal, future and jumblats old democratic gathering. All the christains come from one of these blocks. Syria did not force people to be corrupt. They encouraged and benifitted from these governments because it made everyone involved rich. the main ministries were controlled by them. Telecom, finance, energy, displaced and the worst of all hariri's sollidere. And the contsruction companies were even owned by the hariri family.
As I said amal and jumblat might get uncomfortable but the vast majority have come from the mustaqbul movement over the past 20years.
Georges. Mate, I don't get paid or fed by anyone in Lebanon or Australia. After world war 2, in the liberated europe and France in particular,.. Did they blame Germany? No. Yes Lebanon was occupied but who were the collaberators? In Lebanon almost every group has collaborated with foreigners against Lebanon and it's people. But who got rich on this occupation? Hariri was worth 29billion when he died... $29 BILLION! Everyone thought it was around 9. Not only hariri and his family but the mostly mustaqbul and democratic gathering and amal controlled the ministries with money and work. Yes syrian occupiers got rich and were corrupt as well, but there gone now and they were not lebanese but Syrian occupiers.
I agree that Aoun should start with himself and fpm... Let them all go to jail. Every last one of them if they stole and are corrupt. no one else is willing to start the campaign. One day Aoun might be on the other end. If there is nothing to hide, they will not be afraid!
Why is Saudi Arabia good and Iran evil? What is the difference? What I don't understand is why some "christain" names here, pretend that Saudi Arabia is friendly to Lebanon and Iran is evil? KSA does not allow churches. Does not allow chistians to were crosses. Does not allow Swiss airlines to enter because it has a cross on it tail. Women can't drive or be in the presence of men if they are not their brothers or fathers. Al qiada and mist terrorist come from ksa. Ksa have tried openly to islamiz countries openly by paying women to were the hijab. The most barbaric nation in the work! Saad hariri was born and raised in riyahd. His mother is Iraqi. He never spent more than a week in Lebanon until 2005. Since then, he still has spent more time in Saudi than leb. He and his Saudi family still live there. But Iran is the evil country. Iran allows christains and Jews to be politians in government. Churches florish, and women have much more rights.
Mazen is right. This ridiculous increase is political stunt. This increase would amount to 8000LL per hour. Assuming they work 35hr a week. This is more than the US. However min wage should rise, I would suspect it will by 10%. even to 600,000LL per month would be generous.
The majority of the lebanese don't give a crap about the clause. The majority of Lebanese want 24hr electricity, fast Internet, reformed judiciary and everything else that goes with basic modern living standards. This is what most Lebanese are interested in seeing from the government. The stl is important to some Lebanese yes, but it's not what they think about when the power goes out, and when your waiting an hour to download a 10mb email.
All we hear is stl, stl, stl from these people.
Pacifier... Relax. You want them to entre christain areas? Why? To teach them a lesson? What lesson can you teach that all Lebanese don't already know? No one ever wins a civil war in lebanon full stop. No one Lebanese that is.
Juri...There are many theories. But I believe the most rational is that Palestinians were responsible. Firstly because Lebanese highly value tourism, and no lebanese party would benifit, and secondly, it is related to the palestestian that was kidnapped by the Mossad in Kiev, Ukraine. They most probably are looking for a prisoner swap.
