It was us Lebanese christains that fought each other after sheik Bashir Gemayel's assissination that doomed christain control of Lebanon. Christains were not a minority after the 50s but they were not 6-5 majority with the christain president holding all power! The Palestinians and the usa's henry kissinger's plan to give the Palestinians Lebanon and relocate the christains to Canada was also a major factor (which is fact)!

He ended up winning 19 MPs to the kataeb and Lfs 2 each. The fpm was only stopped from winning the balance of power by losing baabda by a 2 thousand votes. Baabda was lost by the fpm against an alliance of the LF, Kataeb, mustaqbul, Hezbollah and amal against the fpm and assal alliance! Easy to forget this fact isn't it? I remember Hezbollah and LF flags waving together in 2005! Can u?

Yes, and then after the elections he respectfully refused to join the government and was the only parliamentary bloc that was in opposition. Hezbollah and amal joined in the government alliance. So those that say the fpm left the m14 to join the m8 are simply ignorant of the fact that the fpm was the opposition and other parties then later joined the fpm!

KSA and israel have had tantrums because it goes against everything their foreign policy is based on... an evil, isolated and dangerous iran.

geha... to clean the mess in lebanon there is only 1 issue to resolve:

no more sectarian politics and as a result, foreign allegiances! this is the sole cause of all problems in lebanon.

Let all lebanese, sunni, shiite, maronite, greek orthodox, druze, melkite, etc... know and believe in the republic of lebanon. know the national anthem and respect and trust the Lebanese armed forces, and the mess in lebanon will be resolved!

How can that occur with significant Christian and other non Sunni populations? The aim is to rid the middle east and the levant of any significant Christian populations. Hence the attack on maalula and other christain villages in Syria.

Last week geagea said that the christains don't need protection and are not in danger in the middle east! Well maybe Lebanese christains don't need protection due to there large and historic population, but else where they are now more than 10% of the population and the truth is clear.
