Ex Fleetwood Mac Singer Commits Suicide in U.S.

Bob Welch, a singer and guitarist with U.S. group Fleetwood Mac from 1971-1974, was found dead at his U.S. home Thursday of an apparent suicide, police and media reports said. He was 65.

Welch, who launched a successful solo career after leaving Fleetwood Mac including 1970s hits like "Ebony Eyes" and "Sentimental Lady," shot himself in the chest and left a suicide note, WKRN-TV Nashville reported.
