Palestinian Fisherman Killed by Israeli Fire

A Palestinian fisherman was shot dead by Israeli forces on Saturday off the coast of the Gaza Strip, a spokesman for the Palestinian health services said.

The 32-year-old died in hospital in Gaza City after he and two other fishermen in the same boat were fired upon by the Israeli navy.

PLO Decides to End Security Cooperation with Israel

The Palestinian Liberation Organization’s central council decided Thursday to end security cooperation with Israel, in a potentially explosive move after Tel Aviv cut off a key source of funds.

The PLO council decided "to stop security cooperation in all its forms with the occupying power" which it urged to "take over full responsibility for the Palestinian people in the occupied State of Palestine, the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza."

Hamas Commander Says Group Rebuilding Rocket Arsenal

A senior Hamas military official said Monday his Palestinian Islamist group which controls Gaza is rebuilding its heavily depleted rocket arsenal in case of fresh conflict with Israel.

Palestinians to File First ICC Case against Israel in April

The Palestinians are to lodge their first complaint against Israel for alleged war crimes at the International Criminal Court on April 1, a senior official told Agence France-Presse on Monday.

"One of the first important steps will be filing a complaint against Israel at the ICC on April 1 over the (2014) Gaza war and settlement activity," said Mohammed Shtayyeh, a member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

Israel Army Launches 'Surprise' West Bank Drill

Israel's army said it launched a "surprise exercise" Sunday calling up thousands of reservists for its central region of operations that includes the West Bank.

The military said in a statement that it was mobilizing "forces including some 13,000 reserves, 3,000 of whom will physically report for active duty."
