Actually the National Pact did not divide power equally between Christians and Muslims , there were more Christian seats! The National pact was a ratio of 6:5 Christian to Muslim.

The Taif agreement made that 1:1 equal to Muslims and took away from Christian rights.

Taif agreement must be abolished, and all Lebanese overseas allowed to vote for whoever they want.

Christians will win either way and that's what the Muslims are scared of.

Lebanon geographically and the Lebanese commercially always had the potential to be the ( with capital letters)leading country of the Middle East.Unfortunaly the hate between its citizens is tremendous that this will lead ( in no doubt) sooner than later that Lebanon will cease to exist.
