فقدان النصاب للمرة السابعة يرجئ الجلسة الانتخابية الى 2 تموز

تكرر مشهد انتخاب رئيس جديد للجمهورية للمرة السابعة الاربعاء، فقد أرجأ رئيس مجلس النواب الجلسة الانتخابية الى الثاني من شهر تموز المقبل، للسبب عينه وهو عدم اكتمال النصاب.
فمع استمرار المقاطعة من قبل معظم فريق 8 آذار، بسبب عدم وجود اسم توافقي، فقدت الجلسة الانتخابية السابعة النصاب وارجئت الى الساعة 12 ظهراً من يوم الاربعاء 2 تموز.
وبلغ عدد الحاضرين الى قاعة المجلس 63 نائبا من اصل 128، في حين ان النصاب المطلوب لعقد الجلسة هو ثلثا الاعضاء، اي 88 نائبا.
وكانت صحيفة "الجمهورية" صباح الاربعاء قد نقلت عن زوار بري قوله امامهم ان "لا جديد في شأن جلسة الانتخاب" الا انه أكدد أنّه سيستمرّ في توجيه الدعوات إلى جلسات انتخابية، و"لكن بمُهلٍ أطول خلال شهر رمضان".
يُشار الى ان رئيس "التيار الوطني الحر" النائب ميشال عون كان قد اعلن في حديث تلفزيوني مساء الثلاثاء، إعلان ترشحه سيكون "حين يتبين الوضع السياسي في البرلمان ويقال (للمرشحين الحاليين) مع السلامة شكرا لكم".
وأضاف: "يجب أن يفهم الجميع أن رئيس المسيحيين ليس "شحادة" بل الرئيس هو من يمثل وأنا الأقوى وأنا من يمثل وشعبيتي ترتفع".
ومن ساحة النجمة الاربعاء، رد نواب 14 آذار على عون، فقال نائب "القوات اللبنانية" ايلي كيروز ان المسيحيين "يحتاجون لرجل نضال وثبات لا لرجل تناقضات في المواقف والخيارات"، معتبراً ان "فراغ الرئاسة بمثابة تهجير سياسي للمسيحيين".
يُذكر ان قوى 14 آذار تخوض المعركة الرئاسية بمرشحها رئيس "حزب القوات اللبنانية" سمير جعجع في حين ان لا مرشح معلن لـ8 آذار، اذا ان عون يصر على عدم الترشح ما لم يتم التوافق على اسمه، ويدعم رئيس "جبهة النضال الوطني" النائب وليد جنبلاط مرشح "اللقاء الديمقراطي" النائب هنري حلو.
وفَشل النواب في انتخاب رئيس جديد للبلاد في عدة جلسات انتخابية ورفض الرئيس السابق ميشال سليمان تمديد ولايته، ملقياً خطاب الوداع في 24 ايار، أدخل البلاد في فراغ. ووفق الدستور، فإن الحكومة مجتمعة تتولى صلاحيات رئاسة الجمهورية.

Ex-General Michel Aoun is directly responsible for this vacuum and failing to nominate a "consensus" candidate. You put up or shut up. Aoun does neither and keeps on blabbing like an imp and whining like a little girl about wanting to be prom queen without buying a nice dress and wearing the necessary makeup !

Real Aounists do not and cannot support Aoun. Aoun is no longer a Aounist, he hasn't been a Aounist since he came back to Lebanon !

When you must protest that "I am the strongest Christian and my popularity is on the rise", it is because no one else will entertain such fiction. It is aib, aib for Aoun to say such things about himself. Shame!!
They protest how popular they are and then boycott the election so as not to put their boasts to the test. Such hypocracy.
As Hanoun (Guest) writes here, the only solution is a two step popular vote for a Maronite President where the whole country and expatriates vote. In stage I, anyone can run. From the contenders, the top 2 vote getters participate in Stage II. Votes are allocated in the 128 seat parliament by popular vote caste in the Caza represented in Parliament. Khalas. No more boycotting!
