Hassan, thank you for the kind words. I just don't see that. Why is HA first stating they are in Syria to protect religious shrines only? Why did HA allow the Syrian regime to infiltrate Lebanon in such a way for over 20 years that harmed and neglected a large percentage of the population. I understand you may be a better bet than KSA or Nusra/ISIS, but I don't buy the Lebanon thing as much as their purpose being a Shiite thing.

The Associated Press just reported Ghalib Abu Zainab resigned as a result of an internal inquiry within the iranian sectarian terrorist militia that led to his indictment on embezzlment charges of millions of dollars in funds destined to finance the surrogate Resistance Brigades of the terrorist party.

Mr. Abu Zainab is reported to own an impressive portfolio of real estate and businesses in the African continent and the Emirates.

Does the Emirates allow such people to run business, let alone own real estate there?

Abou Zainab is also in charge of the dialogue between Hizbullah and the Christian parties.
Gotta laugh at his job description...

Humm, I wonder what happened Abou Zainab was part of the Hezb's delegation that visited Cardinal al-Rahi and Archbishop Audeh just two days ago. Maybe now that Ali Larijani's charged another Hezballah member, Hajj Michel Naim Aounejad, of the dialogue between Hizbullah and the Christian parties Abou Zainab's position became redundant. No point paying two people for doing the same thing especially not in these depressed Iranian economic conditions.

All of you missing some thing - Some one not too close to Aoun had to tell him to step aside.
Abu Zeynab could not tell Aoun because Abu Zeynab is too close to him.
There will be no problem for the new guy to tell Aoun to forget the presidency.

He probably got sick of being the one to manipulate Christians on behalf of the Iranian group, said in a political way "screw it, I have better things to do than use people for a foreign groups games"

We are starting to se severe cracks in the Hezbollah structure: The high-profile spy, the MP who is about to be summoned to the STL as a suspect, the sacking of politburo member Abou Zaynab. Remember we can only see the top of the iceberg...

What do you expect, Hezbollah and it's friendly medias keep claiming victory upon victory while it's community watches as flag draped coffins keep coming back in droves, border towns are being attacked and their resident are afraid from being overrun, towns all over the Beka3 are being regularly shelled and even fortress Dahieh was breached a few times. Hezbollah's triumphalist narrative doesn't ad up, even the most diehard unpaid supporter can see that.

I agree, it is really not nessecary to bad mouth Hezbollah. We have to stick to facts. There is more than enough facts to demonstrate that a burden this organization is to Lebanon the way they are operating today. Im not saying that they can contribute in a positive way to their society and to Lebanon as a whole in the future, but is will take and brave and wise leadership. That is something that Hezbollah of today are missing.

Even if they "find God" and join the state it doesn't take away what they did before. They are the main problem in Lebanon but not the only. Throughout the 71 years as a country, there has always been instability, corruption, lack of accountability, militias and fiefdoms (Ouwwet in Metn and Keserwen, PSP in Chouf, etc) and Hezbollah is just continuing all these concepts to a higher degree.

But bottomline is Hezbollah will never surrender their arms because their allegiance lies with an outside country and that country will never let them disarm.
