باسيل ينتقد من يريد تحسين علاقته الخاصة بسوريا على حساب لبنان

شدد وزير الخارجية جبران باسيل على أن العلاقة مع سوريا هي لمصلحة لبنان بكل مكوناته، منتقدا الاطراف التي تريد تحسين علاقتها مع دمشق على حساب على لبنان.
وقال باسيل في كلمة له من زحلة الجمعة "علاقتنا مع سوريا هي لمصلحة لبنان بكل مكوناته ولا يمكن أن تكون العلاقات مع سوريا موضع مزايدة داخلية يستخدمها طرف ما يريد أن يحسن علاقته الخاصة بسوريا فيزايد على حساب لبنان".
وذكَّر "نحن اعترضنا من الأساس على تجميد عضوية سوريا في الجامعة العربية وحافظنا على أفضل العلاقات معها ومن الطبيعي أن نساعد اليوم على عودتها"، قائلا "نحن طليعة المطالبين بعودة سوريا إلى الجامعة العربية ولن نكون مجرد تابع لغيرنا نلحق به الى سوريا عندما يقرر هو ذلك".
وأضاف "لقد خنقتنا الحرب في سوريا وأقفلت الأسواق العربية في وجهنا فمن غير المقبول ان نخنق انفسنا في زمن السلم".
وفيما أكد حرصه على الوحدة الوطنية، أعرب باسيل عن رفضه "تعريض مصلحة لبنان الوطنية للاذى ولن ننتظر قراراً من الخارج".
وتابع "عندما كانت سوريا في لبنان واجهناها حتى خروجها وعندما أصبحت سوريا في أرضها أعلنا بالجراة نفسها عن عزمنا على اقامة افضل العلاقات معها فلا نستحي بذلك ولا يغير أي شيء من تاريخنا".
وخلص الى القول "انتهينا من السياسة الخارجية المستلحقة و التابعة نحن أصحاب سياسة مستقلة تقوم على المعاملة بالمثل لمصلحة لبنان".

servant, that he's a Syria sleeper is my own opinion based on the guys actions ever since he popped up on the political scene. He's done all he can to show the Syrian regime in a favorable light. His favorite FPM Qawmi loaner
Elias Bou Saab even claimed that the Syrians were not occupier. When that preposterous claim was challenged by Jean Azziz, Azziz lost his job. The rest of the information is well documented and common knowledge to FPM activists and most anyone living in Lebanon and old enough to have struggled against and survived the Syrian occupation and it's hegemony. You can find it if you bothered to do a little research.
