It's sad the number of ignorant persons that comment on articles. Somehow it's also reassuring that people that take politics to this low level are ignorant, and have limited chances to reach any position of influence in their lives.
I do not follow any political direction.. but inform yourselves - my dear - importation tax is set by a government irregardless of connections with one country or another. Iran also exports gas, oil. what the hell is this comment supposed to mean?

So the average lebanese is paying 1955LBP per liter=1Euro same price as the average european is making. But is the average lebanese makes the same average salary as the average european? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
One more question for Jabal/Kesrweneh/Mowaten and the likes, when the price of the barrel of fuel fell to 60$ in 2009/2010 why didn't the price of petrol drop in Lebanon? Instead of decreasing it was at a standstill and then it rose again. don't forget that it was the same minister in charge.
because harriri was still PM. does that answer ur question?BTW remember that FPM is trying to introduce GPL cars in Lebanon thus decreasing the problem by 50%, and who refused? harriri and co.

Walla u have put a new meaning to the saying: minbazze2 3layon w henni be2oulo 3am tshatti!
inno seriously? u r happy about the drop of 900LBP? khay .. sar feekon tkazdro w tta2shu bezer????
bas 3an jad ya3teyyon el 3afyeh 3am yet3abo ktir ... nshallah they keep up the good work :)

both camps r worse than each other ... but don't hail one cause it is a better evil! And don't go preaching to corruption when they are as corrupt as the other camp if not more.
They are both corrupt and care only about themselves. Wake up and start looking for clean educated Lebanese ppl who might be willing to take leadership roles .. bas due to the bad rep that these guys have put to anyone who takes these roles I doubt we will find any smart person willing ... we can only hope!

someone proposed to slash the taxes on gaz and others said no way ?!!!!!
oil prisec are intl so the hike is worldwide
the reason of our dire economical situation is simple it is the interest we pay on the 60 Billion debts that some smart economist put us in
lebanon pays 30 % of its income interest of the debts the 60 bilion
that did lebanon nothing still no electricity , no water , no roads ,....
so to solve our financial problems we have to get rid of these useless debts

Forgive me everybody, I know half of your won't like to hear this... But you can add this news to the achievements of this government.

The expensive gas is a symptom out of many caused by the dire level that the economy has reached. This is not due to the work of this government or the previous ones alone.
Lebanon has been living in a continuous uncertainty since 1975. Economy in lebanon is mostly based on short term exploits and no long term planning. This provides a fertile soil for corruption to flourish and many opportunities for politicians to exploit.
As long as lebanon's tomorrow is attached to regional projects and ambitions the Lebanese will dwell in economic crisis and their safety remains in continuous threat.
