Then let Hariri and Geagea have 1/3 of the government resign. That automatically calls for cabinet resignation.
Hariri and Geagea won't call for a 1/3 resignation because they will lose the cabinet and the elections ...
Hariri and Geagea are holding Lebanon hostage for their collaborators, the Saudis, the French and the Americans ...

Oh so when M8 shut down the parliament they were not holding the country hostage, eh?
M14 is done extending a hand only to have M8 - and specifically HA - bite it. M8 and HA do not understand or appreciate the value of win win only win loose.
There is no point in discussing anything with HA and M8 unless they acquiesce and leave their arrogance behind so that we can build a state not a banana republic based on HA arms.

If it were up to me then I would recommend partition. HA is never going to give up its arms peacefully. Even if it did, it is dead set on being part of wilayat al faqih. This much is certain.
I say let them run themselves and those who support them their own way and let us run ourselves and those who support us our own way.
I opposed partition all along but alas now I see no other possible solution. We can not and will not accede to HA's way and they won't accede to even meet us halfway. Sad but true.

Saving a government, like saving a sinking ship with a kayle [not so Minogue btw] is useless. Try anyway, that's what you're paid for afterall.

exactly, but in this case trouble makers are hizbushaitan and their cronies fpm.

@geha
Christians should take note of how Christians have fared in Iraq, how they are faring in Syria and now Egypt. The only hope is peace otherwise the ethnic cleansing will hit Lebanon too.
Hariri and Geagea are but agents for foreign powers. They are selling Lebanon's future for their own power. Geagea has no trouble watching the bloodshed of Christians. He should still be serving life in prison for shedding Christian blood.

@mmckinl
Stop with the sectarian mongerring already. Consider that in Iraq it is the Shi'ite majority that has caused the Christians their fate so it is not only the Sunni fundamentalists that are to be feared but the Shi'ite ones as well. HA is a fundamentalist Sh'ite party my friend no different than the Salafist.
Believe whatever political philosophy you want but be honest and don't change facts to suite your political point of view.

the destroyer cannot be the savior. sorry walid jumblatt. you lost your authority and influence.

how so much not true.
they are asking for a neutral cabinet, but your trouble makers want a compromise now! what happened to the agreed compromise in Doha?
so this is all BS.

That is all he is ... a JUDAS... just like a chameleon he keeps changing colors so he can have both sides feel like they have to kiss his rear end and I just hope that the new election law changes everything so that this "JUDAS" loses his grip and becomes irrelevant... He is worst tha Nasrallah and Aoun combined...

Hi FlameThrower. This is a crap comment from you. M14 billboards and money after served prison. Come on man. It makes you sound like an idiot, but i'm sure you know better. Start posting sensible or please leave it be.

WJ remains the voice of reason in this incredibly polarized country. Bloodshed and violence is not a solution. Lebanese have paid a heavy price for war and they are still paying today. Many lives were lost and the only solution is dialogue and building bridges.
While we all want HA to disarm - it is not as easy as we would like it to be. Dialogue may or may not get us there. Even if it doesn't, it is still better than tension and violence.
Lebanese and arabs in general, are quick to label persons who seek peaceful solutions to conflict as cowards or whatever labels that could come up with - this is a detrimental cultural disease that we have yet to overcome,

you're paranoid mmckinl AKA FT AKA rouhl3ab + 20 other nicknames.

Am I paranoid or am I worried about the psychopath Geagea and the salafist collaborator Hariri?

bisous habibe

Negative campaigning is the essence of democracy and free speech. It's unethical I agree, but that's an inch compared to a mile if you compare that to what happens in the US for example in the election season. As far as I'm concerned, everybody is free to say whatever they want, put any billboard they want. There are laws for calumny, slander, and libel, whomever is not happy can go file a lawsuit, prove wrong doing and lack of reciprocity, and they can get the billboards taken off and even compensated if they were harmed by what was expressed.
PS: I am not defending M14; M8 do the same on the airport road. They both are free to post whatever they want.

The ethnic cleaning is in the old video of of Mr. Nasrallah claiming Lebanon to be part of Welayat El-Faqih. I am sure Salafists will also want their own version of ethnic cleaning. It is up to the educated and patriotic Lebanese to rise and unite and lead Lebanon to salvation.

Lets assume you are right, how do the billboards compare with your resistance billboards (full of foreign faces and war mongering ideas). Did you ask yourself how Berri and Nasrallah got all that money not only to build palaces but also to arm 30,000 terrorists and hijack a whole country (seaports, airports, etc.). Again you see the straw in others eyes but fail to see the bridge in your own).
Maybe it is more useful to brainstorm on how to build a better tomorrow with clean and fresh leaders who share a common vision of a united and prosperous Lebanon instead of pointing the fingers at others and defending our own.
