تقارير: ديفيد هايل سيخلف كونيللي كسفير واشنطن في لبنان

كشفت مصادر صحفية، الثلاثاء، ان المبعوث الخاص لعملية السلام ديفيد هايل سيكون السفير المقبل لواشنطن لدى لبنان.
فقد نقلت صحيفة "الحياة" ان ادارة الرئيس الاميركي باراك اوباما ستعين هايل سفيراً لواشنطن لدى لبنان لدى انتهاء فترة السفيرة الحالية مورا كونيللي خلال أشهر.
واشارت الى ان هايل هو من الوجوه الأكثر خبرة في الشرق الأدنى، ومن الديبلوماسيين الأمهر في الخارجية الأميركية في معرفته بالملف اللبناني.
كما انه كان نائباً للقنصلية في لبنان مع السفير السابق ديفيد ساترفيلد في الاعوام1998- 2001 ولاحقاً في الخارجية الاميركية كنائب مساعد لشؤون الشرق الأدنى اذ تولى الاشراف على ملف المساعدات للجيش والمؤسسات الحكومية في لبنان.

Hope he has a enough security personnel , I think he needs it considering the current situation in Lebanon , the poor guy won't last 6 months ... Wahibist / Jihadist from Saudi Arabia and the GCC have infiltrated the lebanese society... Eg FSA , Assir and the Saad's salafists and Co.. Good luck on your new appointment as ambassador to Lebanon ..Allah wakoun ma3ak ...!!

I have met David Hale years ago and I was immensely impressed with his range of knowledge of the entire Middle East. I think he will be one of the really great ambassadors as he has so much experience in the Middle East. The Lebanese who knew him, highly respected him. So, this is the best appointment made in a very long time.
