A suspicious case in Beirut's Adlieh area caused a severe traffic jam in the region on Thursday afternoon.

The Traffic Management Center announced that traffic was diverted from the Mathaf area towards the Justice Palace as a suspicious case was being inspected by security forces in the region.

It noted that vehicles should pass in al-Adlieh tunnel.

But later radio Voice of Lebanon (100.5) said the case contained hardware material only.

TMC confirmed the reports, saying that no explosives were found in the case.

"The road near the Justice Palace was reopened and traffic gradually returned to normal.”

Thursday's suspicious case comes amid a turbulent security situation in the country, as five explosions have hit different regions in Lebanon since January.

This casing looks like Chinese made drills. That's how bad it's become in Lebanon.
